@@fanatamon yeah he's been in a bunch of other TV shows as well, from straight out funny to seriously wacky. He'd be an interesting bloke to talk to, probably flip you out though.
@@Australiantourforyourdog I’m a country girl turned city lady. I’m trawling through these RU-vid clips again trying to find the comedy skit where Colin Carpenter is in the audience of the Ray Martin show and he says, “It’s all crap, Ray.” I can’t find it anywhere. Any ideas?
@@MasimbaMusodza you grew up on round the twist. How in buggery are our countries not closer? If you're ever in Australia, please contact me, id love to learn about your country over a beverage or two and I'll show you around mine. The fact that you know these shows is amazing. Love it.
Love it .. totally brilliant!!! Days where comedy was comedy with the lovely Australian twist ... Cynicism at its best ... bring it back ... love Col’n
1987 classic!!! This is what true comedy once was!!! We need this back on our TV/Streaming services now! Of course some of today's folk might get abit "triggered" by it all but that's a small minority here and why should we let them dictate what we watch?! Bring The Comedy/Full/Fast - Forward Back!!!!
Wow, this is why youtube is so excellent! Just think of a series you liked years ago and sure enough, some excellent person has decided to upload parts of it here. Brilliant!
There was a series that he played the same part in, where he was sharing a house with a couple of other people. In one episode, Col'n was sitting up on the roof of the house, looking at the night sky. His housemate comes up to see what he is doing and Col'n explains he just saw an "uffo" (UFO). The housemate says, "No. . U.F.O." and Col'n replies "Naaah. . I was here first, YOU 'F.O!"
Perfect! Random drunken hookup w an early Aussie 90s comedy clip from back in my youth...that was brilliant! Talent all round! If you're a yank or Brit and see this then you can appreciate where Outrageous Fortune came from (NZ's greatest ever drama / comedy). Massive transtasman kinship here! Kiwis need to owe up to their influences.
Yes! funny not crude relying on swearing every second word hoping to get a laugh for that ‘cos their material is total crap or talking about body parts or their sexuality as if anyone’s interested- waste of time- this stuff is Gold 👏🏻👏🏻😎
@Paul Vu I agree with what your saying. We were lucky enough to have lived thru those times and watched some truly talented artists. The closest we get now is Pauly Fenech : fat pizza , houso's etc . I grew up in a housing commission area and I've known people that are just like some of his characters especially Davo . I had a mate just like him growing up . Compared to the shows today , full of fake reality shows full of wannabe Instagram influencers. T.v. was better then
@@hopebear06 which girl? And Kim is the half brother of my ex husband. For real, for real. I haven’t seen him for decades tho, not since I got divorced, but I was around in the Colin Carpenter days. I was also instrumental in getting him into rehab.
Some of the answers Colin gives here are exactly how you should answer in court. If a barrister holds up a spook and asks you do you know what this is, you should just answer ‘yes’.
Kym actually did a brilliant roll as a judge in protest of someone getting off on a sexual assault charge because the defence decided to claim no means yes
From Paul Hogan to the Chaser & Coln, The Pythons, the Young Ones, classic Aussie & British comedy is so missed on telly today, now it's all seppo crap reruns nobody watches, so thank faark for these uploads : )
