That just passion for winning the Euro I mean winning something with country is dream for every superstar players. I does not need to explain how many great players in our era really demand to win something at international level. Also that action made Italy won the euro again despite last playing in world cup were in 2014 better than being favourite in every tournament yet doesn't win ang of it.
The fifth has a specific reason, practically there was the 1974 World Cup, it was Zaire's first World Cup at the time but there was a dictatorship in Zaire so when they lost the first game by 9 - 0 against Jugoslavia the players and the coach were threatened with death by the dictator, the dictator said that if they lost by more than 3 goals they would be executed, so the next match against Brazil were losing 3-0 but there was a free kick in front of the area in favor of Brazil they were about to beat it if I'm not mistaken Rivelino but that player got anxious and swept the ball away
@@Ciaoooo522 Zaire players had met Brazil team a day before the match. Brazil needs at least a 3-0 win to go through the group stage, Zaire also need Brazil to "play normally" and win but only a 3-0 as well so that the dictator won't execute them. The Brazil team agreed with that, they simply scored 3 goals in the first half and got a freekick, Zaire players was really nervous because they think the Brazilian forget about the deal completely and they will keep on scoring until the final whistle. The guy who kick the ball away intentionally do that since he know the referee will punish him, years after the match he said that he didn't want to witness the match anymore so he did that on purpose, but the referee only gave him a yellow card. Somehow it reminds the Brazilian that they have to score only 3 goals for the Zaire player, and for real the Brazil team didn't even want to score anymore. Apparently Zaire team lost 3-0 to Brazil and the dictator couldn't do anything on the players, except he still punished them in Zaire after the team came back from the World Cup. That's it.
