Pat Baer's a real guy, but he didn't do catchphrases. I remember him from when I was taking improv back in the day in New York (I stunk, so I didn't keep at it). I think he teaches at UCB. Whoever wrote this sketch must've wanted to namedrop him, which is sweet.
