It's currently worth taking a look at the starry sky when the weather is clear. Because comet 12P/Pons-Brooks is currently approaching the inner solar system and is getting brighter every day. Although you still need a camera with a slight telephoto lens to find it, by the end of the month it could also be visible to the naked eye. It reaches its greatest brightness in April. After the last clouds had cleared in the evening, I was able to record the comet with my cameras in the starry sky near Bassum in the Diepholz district. 12P/Pons-Brooks is a periodic comet with an orbital period of 71 years. Jean-Louis Pons discovered it in 1812 and it was rediscovered by William Robert Brooks in 1883. Records of the comet go back to the 14th and 15th centuries.
