In this video I talk about the recent announcement of the VISION MCU series getting greenlit and coming to tv in 2026 - surprisingly this created a SURGE of sales for everyone favorite book West Coast Avengers 45. It kinda feels like we've hit full circle...the cycle has begun again. Now former hot books are becoming nostalgic. I talk about this book and take a trip down memory lane to a couple other books that were once hot in the comic book market.

Spot on with the collector time line. I was heavy past two years. Coming up on three. College/family kinda took over. Plus the economy being were it is isn’t helping. Hard to justify buying a 200$ book when you can spend that easy nowadays walking into Walmart.

Swag, you mentioned something in this video that really caught my attention. You mentioned "ladder books". Would love it if you did a more in depth video of what you consider a handful of ladder books to help some of the smaller guys use those to try and aquire some of the bigger keys that seem to be priced out of our range. I have always said buy what you want. Spend what you are comfortable with. I overpaid on Hulk 181 and werewolf by night 32. At the time I think I paid $100 EA over fair market value. Dealers told me to my face that I was dumb. They would never pay that much for the books. I paid $300 and $200 for ea. They both graded 9.6. wouldn't those dealers kill to have those books now at that profit margin? Also if you want to laugh, pick up a reprint of the first overstreet price guide and read it. Dealer after dealer saying don't waste your money on 1960's (they didn't even call them silver age!) Marcel books because they have such huge print runs. Invest in DC. Gee where else do we hear "experts" saying books aren't worth buying? I love the market so much! 😂

I bought a 7.5 White Pages Shang-Chi Master of Kung-Fu and the Shortboxed Con we were at. It was only $200 which I thought was reasonable. I didn’t need a 9.8 and now it’s off my list.

I bought this book for cover price when it came out and was shocked when I discovered it was a "sought after key". If the book continues to tick up in value and even approaches those ridiculous prices it hit peak comic boom, I'm gonna sell mine. Don't know if it's a 9.8 but it's definite;y high grade.

Yup, now we all luv Hayden Christensen. Everything comes and goes in waves. Copper Age newsstands in a “real” 9.8 are the way to go for this book.

Many are calling this a buyers market, but what is the price drops even lower? Who’s to say hello these prices can go? Even at my LCS where they have a 50 Cent box I was able to find the Furst fire storm and issue number three of fire stormin the box. I’m not interested in selling but do I wanna buy books that are $100 today that might be $50 tomorrow? These are questions that I am sure everyone has.

I feel calling books "ladder" books is harsh. by that logic every book is a "ladder book". go wit ur i.e. anybody wit a ASM 14 wud easily give it up for an ASM 1, who wud easily give it up for an AF 15. Does tht mean its AF 15 or bust?
