They've been working together since after Vyce was last defeated so I can say that since then they have become quite good friends and developed a lot of trust.

blackdemonknight makes me wonder if Vyce and Linkara could one day become friends if they put everything behind them

My theory on that was that 90's kid helped Vyce survive his deletion from Nimue by giving him the Shade body to transfer to. It was at least enough to allow Vyce to hear him out and thus the partnership was forged.

+blackdemonknight - Possibly. 90s Kid was probably one of the few people who still feared the Entity coming back, so Vyce would have been one of the few people who could know how to fight it. Plus, 90's Kid might even have had some of the "comic book heroes" stuff rub off on him and hoped that maybe Vyce could become an eventual ally like Jaeris and Linksaino did.

I believe that while Vyce is not necessarily 90s Kid, they are united by their hatred for the Entity. Also we don't really know how exactly Vyce managed to stay alive while his world was destroyed, but the fact that he's the only one left and that he has to wear a full body suit does indicate that the Entity might have used him the same way that it used 90s Kid, which would give the two even more in common.

Well, the same holds true to pretty much any anesthetic. That's why it's a medical specialty. Fiction rarely mentions dosages. Something capable of knocking out an adult male could kill a child. It would at least have longer affect. However comics/TV/movies treat them as affecting everyone the same. Notice how on 60's Batman show, Batman and Robin would get the knockout gas at the same time and then wake up at the same time even though Adam West was considerably bigger than Burt Ward? Really, any way you see someone get knocked out in fiction would be worse in real life. Striking someone to cause unconsciousness for more than a few seconds would likely be causing serious brain damage.

Carl Rood one of the few pieces of fiction I’ve seen where it DOES matter is in the Dresden files. Granted how the villains managed to get enough gas to fill an entire aquarium without killing some of the exhibits isn’t really addressed

Actually not really. That would be a concern only indoors. As this was outdoors lack of air would not be an issue

armitage wytch tr-8r I like to see the plot as a parody of the typical big comic storyline and a way of Lewis to show how people can make something better than people involved in the media. Sad thing is he likely has less about him than Birdemic, which got its own movie when Lewis can make epic green screening like on this episode and the the comic before Delicious in Dungeon.

I'd never seen Linkara before, only heard of the name of his show, when I watched my first episode because it showed up in my recommendations. That episode happened to be the one where his ship crashed on the moon in the first place. My immediate thought was, "How does an internet review show have any right to do this?" I subscribed instantly and I immediately began binging his show to see how it got that far.

I agree I wish more people in Hollywood had this kind of competence to create novel films.

Yeah he played his ace in the hole now it's time to see if this gamble pays off and makes Linkara see sense and that the Entity is him.

Gungelion what does a celestial class have?

The reason why they are superiors because for the most part they do not need to evolve, they just are. They are empowered (and sometimes constructed by) by an ethereal mystical energy. Whereas a philosopher class always needs some material and blueprints to evolve, a celestial this not require such things, it is simply limited by its pilot. The closest equivalent to a to easily understand would be tengen toppa gurren lagann which has the ability to create matter from energy and seems to create energy itself. The trick to these is not everybody can pilot one and even if you could it all depends on where not if you can bring out the full potential.

So, if i'm reading you right, Philosopher class ships are like quasi-super robots. Mostly very advanced hard sci-fi, which produces a very powerful ship. All the while, Celestials are like Super robots (mostly like the strongest ones, like Demonbane, gurren lagaan or Getter emperor) indescribable vessels of unimaginable power.

hmmmm, I suppose that's a good way to put it.

If these ships are as powerful as you say, then that means the Entity fears this ship more then anything else which is why everyone says the ship was the best thing to fight the Entity. Well then I will safely say the playing field has been evened out now if that's the case.

i don't know, between him and the CA specials that bits been done to death by these guys. AT4W: the movie featured a version of the plot point (hell half the movie IS wrath of khan), to boldly flee outright did the scene almost point for point (as well as some stuff from undiscovered country). kind of been there done that time to move on.

Yes Linkara seeing Comicron-1 up and running again is just the shot of insperation and hope he needs to finally see the Entity is inside him.

Unlikely, if the entity was truly defeated I feel vyce would return to his own Realm (his purpose forfilled) or have died to defeat it.

The way Vyce talks about his home universe in this episode, it sounds like it's toast regardless of whether the entity is defeated or not. "Long ago taken by the entity" and "I sometimes wonder what I'm still fighting for" make it sound like Vyce believes he won't be able to go back home even if he succeeds. Even if his home dimension did return to normal, Vyce wouldn't. Remember, he's a data being now, possessing a shade body that's been built up to look like his old suit. Whoever Vyce was before, whatever life he had, he can't go back like nothing happened. Even if he still had his original body, he'd likely have a hard time going back, like how some soldiers who have seen war can't settle back into their civilian lives. Vyce was using the threat of the entity as a justification for conquering other worlds. If the entity was truly destroyed, he wouldn't have that justification anymore. His quest would be over, but he can't return to his old life. It's kind of reminiscent of what Linkara said to the entity, "what is your purpose when your purpose has been fulfilled?". Assuming Vyce survives the battle with the entity, I see him having an existential crisis. Maybe big, maybe small, but at the very least he'll question what he should do next.

Nathaniel Hellman nah. The only reason Vyce battled Linkara was for the purpose of stopping the Entity. Once it's finally dead, he'll either die or join the team

He's always been the protagonist in his own mind so that's a fair assessment. I do hope he goes the way of Linksano and becomes an ally even if he's just a fair weather friend.

That is the sign of a well written villain. They are always heroes in there own mind.

He might become an ally and I think I see this ending with Linkara allowing Vyce to have his ship back and Vyce returning home to his dimenstion (if it has been restored) with his quest and war finally at an end.

Debatable, while Vyce is a good character in my mind regardless, I think his appeal was that he was a villain so far beyond Linkara. There was an air of mystery to him, which is always great.
