Dr Phibes -- In watching you on Grottu's channel, it appears that you and your wife are into Halloween and throw big Halloween parites. My wife and I are holiday collectors and have an extensive collection. We also throw Halloween parties when we decorate for Halloween. I have another channel call "Ho-Ho Hippity-Hop Boo" in which we have a number of home tour videos. I suspect very different from what you collect, but you might be interested. The best video to watch would probably be the one entitled "Halloween Home Tour Open House 2019". The most recent one was a bit scaled back so I would watch the 2019 video if you are interested. Also have Easter and Christmas videos on there. Enjoyed seeing you on Grottu's videos.
Thank you very much! I love all things vintage Halloween! I will definitely check out your videos and sub both channels. Even if something isn't in the style I use I thoroughly respect and enjoy other peoples taste. It also opens you up to new ideas for decorating. @@spinnerrackstudios
Always a pleasure to see this great room. I may put all of the room tour videos on endless play so I can pretend I'm in it all day..... ••• Thanks for showing it off!
It is surprising how dark we can keep that room considering its placement in the main part of the house with the open floor plan and windows throughout. But it's far from being pitch black -- it does get some ambient light. But we generally keep all blinds and shutters closed because we find it helps hold in the heat during the winter and keeps it cooler during the summer.
Love your comic book/statue loft you have there. I always wanted to find a house with a loft and do what you did. My only concerns are those statues you have on top, by the railings. I live in California, and I’d be afraid of even a minor earthquake that would knock them over. 😅
Understand. Honestly, if I lived in an earthquake zone, I would be concerned about all of the statues. The Ikea cabinets are not secured to the wall and they are not the most stable of cabinets considering how they go together. I would suggest you move away from California (LOL!!!!) Thanks for watching.
Several years ago there was a guy who reproduced the "Hey Kids Comics" rack and made one specifically sized to fit slabs. He did it for a couple years and then stopped production. So the best you can do is probably watch ebay for a used one.
