COMIC BOOK ROOM TRANSFORMATION - Before & After!!! Key Comics and Statue Tour!
Here's how I transformed our wine cellar into my ultimate comic room! I've had this idea ever since we moved into this house 5 years ago. I just never had time to organize everything until now. It's got one wall dedicated to CGC graded slabs, 30 Drawer Boxes full of RAW comic books, and a couple shelves carrying over 1000 lbs of statues!

Thanks for stopping by! Took me 5 years from idea to completion (a lot due to procrastination). Big question: If/when I sell/move, should I tear all this down or try to market it as a comic book cellar?

There's a quote I remembered from T Harv Eker. He said, "How you do anything is how you do everything." Not only your collection is incredible but how organized, sophisticated, and well planned it is. I can just imagine how this way of doing things is applied to other areas of your life. I collect toys in my own little way but nowhere close to this level of detail. Bravo, man!

Thanks! I’m not sure about the best collection. I’ve seen some pretty insane ones with a lot of high grade keys that were purchased back in the day. These guys go for the best of the best. I’m good with my 5.0s 😁

Nicest comic collection I’ve seen on RU-vid so far. Slabs on the walls alone easily $500,000 to $600,000. And the most expensive comic in his entire collection, the Captain America Comics #1, probably a quarter million dollar book, just quickly glossed over at the end of a short box! Dude, buy a house with a proper basement to display this fucking brilliant collection!

Nice collection and setup! One recommendation: put low value books at floor level and high up top. Flooding is a real thing. And low is closer to accidental kicking level. Most flooding is less then 1 foot deep and your cellar is likely in a basement... Also consider an electric water detector for that room.

Though I was gifted by my grandfather a Marvel Family # 1 that is about a 9.0 - 9.2 if I got it pressed and cleaned I bet it could get a 9.6... I would love to build out a room like you have... That is badass! I love those drawer boxes too. That's a smart idea. Will definitely need to make shelving like that for the statues I have. Looking at making a center stand for a 1:3 Guts Museum with the Manga books lined up and fit on the bottom of it. Awesome room and great idea!

Thanks! The Drawer Boxes were a lifesaver! I considered making wood drawers on tracks. But that would have taken forever and been very expensive. I also heard that some woods are not good for comic preservation. Decided to stick with good ol’ cardboard! 😁

I just got to say I have. A huge collection of marvel Pops and some D.C. POPS AS WELL. THIS ROOM OF COMICS AND STATUES ARE BEAUTIFUL SIR.Much respect to you and what I do. As for the pops I recently got Galactus 10 inch with silver surfer I pray that one day you would do a video on some of the marvel and D.C. POPS THAT U MIGHT LIKE. It would have been nice to have several more feet to work with. Other rooms are occupied with statues. Love that I can tuck the entire comic collection into this smaller space. I also have a nearby closet where I store all the comic supplies.

@@DTsGEEKSHOW I feel you. Maybe a home gym is worth it for you. A good power rack, a stable bench, a few weights and a floor covering. With a small minibar or a chill area where you can display a Hulk. Wouldn't it be cool?
