Comic Con Revolution 2022: Avatar aka TYZULA Panel!! 

It’s a common thing for actors, they just read their lines and not understand the Lore.

The problem sometimes with these panels is, that most of these actors rarely see each other, so they have so much catching up to do, that the panels just end up being smalltalk between themselves, instead of answering the questions.

I feel like almost everyone in then cast ships Zutara (Zuko and Katara) more, even Aang’s actor. I think he mentioned that in their reunion livestream.

@@ReiraSeju Honestly because it makes sense Azula is a closeted lesbian who has an abusive love for her friend and crush Ty Lee who also has a submissive commitment to Azula even after she was defeated in the series.

​@@itsrectimemediaOn their relationships by the end of Book Two: Zuko/Katara is a crack ship: there was never any romantic connection between them on the slightest. First of all, Katara's type is the classic hero: so are Aang and Haru, and so also Jet initially seemed to be -- but as soon as she figured Jet was no paragon of virtue, she was permanently hurt by his betrayal, and could only forgive him enough to cry for his death after he proved himself under Lake Laogai; Katara would *never* have any interest for Zuko, whose morals would never fit hers, even if he was quite kind at heart. This is of course superficial: even more deeply, however, they wouldn't work out together because both are very stubborn and self-righteous cholerics with very different worldviews, which means they would find very little common ground and fight endlessly until they broke apart -- this is the opinion of the creators, Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko. Secondly, at this point Katara is in love with Aang. Although their connection was instant, and, according to the (non-canonical) Nickelodeon rerun commentaries, 'love at first sight', she initially dismissed her obvious love for him as a sisterly kind of thing, which obviously was never the case as contrasted to her less clingy relationship eith Sokka, and even sought older guys like Haru and Jet, but after b1c13 'The Fortuneteller' she stopped lying to herself about her feelings for Aang and friendzoning him; she immediately grew very close to him in the next episodes, showering him with tender kisses whenever she had an excuse for that, and keeping physically very close to him. In b2e1 'The Avatar State' she indirectly implies she loves him when telling him about why she's afraid of the Avatar State, inb2e2 'The Cave of Two Lovers' she is very infatuated already and they kiss on the lips at *her* suggestion, at b2e11 'The Desert' she is the only one who stayed near him and who could calm him down, in b2e12 'The Serpent's Pass' she and Aang share a tender moment in which their love for each other is implied and both shed tears, in b2e18 'The Earth King' she slightly tilts her head as Aang is about to confess to her and gives him a sweet cheek kiss after he gets interrupted, implying she knows and accepts what he's trying to say, in b2e20 she runs away from Zuko and towards Aang as soon as he shows up, and then embraces him warmly and extendedly, and then as he is shot dead by Azula she is horrified, unleashing her biggest display of power yet and overwhelming the entire room, including the Dai Li, Zuko and Azula, in a giant wave, and then she sobs when she thinks she might not have been able to save Aang, and finally as he comes back they smile at each other mirroring the moment at the very first episode, firmly establishing their love. These are only the loudest establishing moments of their relationship, of course: throughout the first two seasons, they're constantly closest to each other, holding onto each other, Katara showers Aang with kisses, Aang showers Katara with gifts and compliments, both blush on several occasions, and they're always spending time with each other exclusively. Therefore, by the end of Book Two, the two of them are finely established as 'a thing'; however, losing Aang to Zuko's treason and Azula's lightning was certainly a traumatic experience to Katara, and it logically will affect their relationship in Book Three, with Katara either becoming clingy or distant, in fear of losing him definitely: I won't spoil to you which one. On Katara and Zuko: they have actually met surprisingly few times, and almost only in Book One: in those occasions, Katara hated him, and he was never interested in her -- it seems he always loved Mai, and unlike what sadomasoquistic fans will tell you, him calling her 'big girl' or handling her was never anything but toxic, disdainful and condescending. Zuko only opened up to Jin in Book Two for he had figured he wouldn't ever see Mai again; as for Katara, she wasn't ever into him, as she is quite averse to bad boys, an aversions only strengthened by her disappointment at Jet. The only other time Katara and Zuko met in Book Two was in b2c8 'The Chase', when Katara wished to heal Iroh in deference to Iroh alone, who was always kind to them and helped them in the North Pole, and Zuko rejected her help (which certainly *worsened* her view of him). Then they met in the cave: Katara initally lashed out at him, but then related to him and pitied him, seeing the potential for good in him, if only she could help him by healing his scar; her touching his scar and then staring at him from afar eas a merciful and nursing look of her altruistic soul, not any kind of infatuation, as attested by her prioritising Aang and lovingly embracing him with no hesitation, only looking back at Zuko as she wandered whether she would ever be able to help him. But then she saw him betray his own uncle who loved him more than anyone and kill the love of her life. So there was never a single reason for Zutara other than wishful thinking. On the creative side: the creators have declared, in their official testimonies, that Avatar was conceptualised from the start as an adventure and love story, with Aang and Katara (originally named Kya in the first drafts) as the main couple. Zuko wasn't added to the story until quite late in conceptualisation, and they never envisioned anything between him and Katara; after the show premiered, some of writers toyed with the idea of a love triangle, but the creators immediately shut it down; they admitted it could be interesting but they had a clear picture of the story that did not include it, and would not add it in and risk creating complications and sidetrackings. Then same aforementioned non-canonical Nickelodeon rerun commentaries (which called Kataang 'love at first sight') have falsely claimes Zuko was originally going to be a live interest for Katara, which is categorically *false;* as in reality any involvement between these two was a rejected afterthought between some writers. See, I have no problems with Zutara shippers, as long as they admit it's all in their imagination and that the story itself never implies any such a thing. As long as there's no canon-bending, all ships are welcome. But I do believe those actours are really just trolling.

They change the pitch a bit in their voices, but honestly Grey more or less uses the same voice. It's pretty much the same albeit with an octave change or deepened pitch. Not much variety unless she really wants to play someone old.

I do the terrible musician thing with music, all the time, even if I’ve got all the time in the world to learn the piece on piano or organ, cause the people in the church don’t know the arrangement, so you can strip away so much and simplify the piece like crazy, to make it as easy to play as possible, with it still sounding impressive and hard, it’s just cost benefit, learn about it, makes life so much easier.

Widening your vocal range for voice acting, sing karaoke, especially for guys, learn to sing mixed voice/head voice.

I'd rather her take on other rolls instead of wasting her talent on a shovelware show

Actors typically don’t watch their own work. There’s a difference mindset when it comes to being a fan of something you’re working on.
