As a videographer, I really couldn't afford to keep renting mics for every single production shoot I was hired for so I decided since the Boom X U was on backorder from B&H and Amazon I got the Boom X-D along with the Comica mixer instead. I'm so satisfied with this product I have to invest in these Boom X U to complete my mic system. Great tips Tommy.

Thanks so much for this fantastic review and tutorial Tommy. I did make a purchase last year on the Comica Boom XD they worked fine, however, once I ordered and received this Boom XU2 the sound is more robust than the XD. Both wireless systems are good to have and definitely affordable. As a filmmaker sound is next to the story and these little joints are smoke'n. I appreciate you break up your 10+mintue guide in the describp[tion. It really helps for the Comica mic users. I've been using these mics on short film scenes and interviews on a closed set. Now I need to do a range test along with outside conditions to know what's the limitation of this system.
Thank you, the range is not as good as I hoped. I just learned that my DSLR camera has a auto dampening audio feature that tries to cut out the background noise. So I found I need to turn that off too in order to get the best sound. I'm working on a review of the unit now and will have that ready soon. Biggest issue I have with it so far is you have no way of knowing which channel signal is best. It's like pick a random channel and hope it's good enough. I have other regular wireless mics that have a nice channel selection with signal strength and interference readings that cost less than these. Still it's small and very simple plus I've seen others like this set that are twice the price and more. So for the value it works. Thanks Again, TD

Yes very easily with the TRS to TRS cord. However, depending on the mixer you may need a (1/4 inch) plug to a 3.5mm (1/8 inch) jack stereo adapter or other adapter. Good luck. TD
