Hey, Jason! I can still remember where I was when the first episode of GH aired. Man I'm old. Thanks for all the years of entertainment you have given, through thick and thin. (Loved Ghost Nation, too!)
Jason great video. You showed true professionalism in this video and great honest analysis. I know Jason from my few appearances on Ghost Hunters. The live show at Waverly Hills and the first hunt at Fort Delaware. I spent a ton of time with Jay, more than any other member, during my days with the crew. Here’s what I can tell you about Jay and the crew, including the production company. I was an active member of Law Enforcement at the time, criminal fugitive investigator, in Philadelphia. I lived and still live to investigate the truth no matter what!! When I arrived on the sets this was no different. Here’s what I learned. 1. The Taps teams 100% believed in what they were doing. They didn’t seem to care about being on tv. They all truly loved to investigate. 2. They were all friends and didn’t seem to really be onboard with NBC wanting outsiders on the crew. But even with that they welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like a member. 3. They set up their own equipment and double, triple check to make sure everything is on the up and up. 4. They would do a security check to make sure no one was around to play games. 5. Season 4 episode 13 was our investigation at Pea Patch Island. When we caught things this is what happened -Jay & Grant saw a body in the tunnels. They immediately did a roll call check to make sure no one was screwing around. Everyone was in the holding area. If it was faked, which I don’t believe it was, they went above and beyond to pull it off. -The team gathered afterwards to come up with any explanation on what it could’ve been other than a ghost. There wasn’t any explanation. It was in a tunnel with 1 way in and out -The same thing happened when we heard a massive bang. We did a role call checks and gathered to discuss -There was an incident on the second day where the producer from the network started screaming saying he saw a black shadow run across the court yard. Everyone was together in the holding area and no one else saw it. The team did go investigate but no one really believed him and thought maybe he was seeing things because it was 4am. 6. The team takes all the equipment and keeps it for review. Only a couple of the members review it all. Now I was only on 3 episodes technically but I was able to really get to know the people involved and here’s my opinion. They are still the only legit ghost hunters in the business. They went above and beyond to make sense of anything they found. If there was any nonsense I’d say it was network related. Jay said one thing to me that has stood with me to this day. He said “I’ve been investigating 19 years before starting on tv and will investigate after tv”. Did they enjoy the perks of being famous? Of course we all would. However I dont believe it turned them into fake hunters we see all over today. They are the real deal and until they say otherwise I will always look to them for the truth in Ghost Hunting Mark Fusetti
As someome who had watched from episode one, I fully agree with you. Jason and Grant never came off as showmen or attention hogs (unlike other shows at the time). Being that they are intelligent and skilled tradesmen, I feel like if they were going to fake anything, they would go to the trouble of doing something more elaborate and profound for ratings than just a wire within a hoodie. (Lol).
I agree 1000% It’s great to see the “not toxic” and name calling. I love it. I’m thankful Jason did speak on this. I really like hearing all sides of things.
Attention all the other ghost hunting channels. THIS is a perfect example of how to answer criticism. Staying calm and respectful. Taking each point and either giving clear, concise explanations as to why you believe they are wrong or accepting that they have a point and being man enough to own up to a mistake or admit that a mistake may have been made if you can't say for sure either way. Apologising if you made a mistake or said something that has caused offence or been misunderstood because it could have been worded better. Reacting/responding a debunker in this way instead of having a fit, screaming, shouting, whinging and whining and throwing a temper tantrum in the debunkers comments with offensive and/or threatening messages gives you much more credibility and integrity. People are more likely to actually listen rather than dismissing you as behaving like an immature child which we see a lot of from certain channels and their fanbase. Reacting this way does Jason a lot of credit and will earn him respect on top of the credibility and integrity. Good job sir.
Hi Jason and community. As i said this video from me was made from a place of......ghost hunters taught me to question. Ghost hunters taught me to look harder. Jason and i habe had a few conversations and they have been respectful. Honest. And on occasion awkward lol. Jason has been a perfevt gentleman to me and i to him. Jason would if this was my footage, question it. Jason i appreciate the reaching out. Your candor and your openess to me. I actually look forward to further interactions with you whether we agree or not.
Spoken like a great individual searching for the truth. People can see things different but still have respect for one another. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Looking forward to doing something together in the near future.
@@JasonHawes Don't put that out in the universe and not follow through with it. I'd love for you to go back overseas to some of the REALLY old haunts of the world.
This was the perfect example of how things should be handled online and irl: like adults. Felt like the old days. Both guys are standup gentlemen. Ty Beardo for your debunking work and research as well as Jason for this amazingly calm and logical response. Win-Win
Without knowing the behind the scenes drama, just seeing that the two of you had separate shows but that you had Steve and Tango, I said to my wife, "He got the kids in the divorce."
Yes! When he was talking about how much time they spent together, I thought, just like a married couple! But your line didn't connect in my brain (I'm Still Chuckling‼️😂
It was more than that, he choose (Grant that is) to come back to the Paranormal Field sfter being on #GhostHunters/Taps he left during season 8, But when the network asked Jason to do GhostHunters without the regular crew! All new people they wanted Jason to do it with, but Jason said No, because he said no, they went to Grant and said he can keep the name GhostHunters, but knowing Jason Started GhostHunters he should have known not to go there, he ran with it, but the show wasn't the same without Jason and the crew, Steve, Dave, Sheri, and when needed Amy, Adam, and My man Dustin Pari! BUT it was like Grant was stabbing Jason in the back!
I'm happy to finally know the truth about the separation and different shows. I also never thought Grant would fake anything. He never seemed the type to me, so I'm glad my instincts have been confirmed on that. I personally loved his A&E show. I thought it was very high quality, and his team was superb in my opinion. The quality has continued in the new GH show. But to be honest, Ghost Nation... meh. The production quality on that was just kind of terrible compared to all of the Pilgrim produced shows.
Everyone has an opinion it's just how you perceive it I love Taps i watched y'all every episode and I seen the episode in the ladies room that was so wrong
tvara69 & Jokers!😢 & No dig is too deep!😖 & The louder I am, the more likely you'll see it my way!😠 I just think that I would have stopped like that, trying to stop on a dime without disturbing or disconnecting anything that might be caught on my coat. He didn't say it pulled him Back, he said it pulled On his coat. Could have been a midget & he pulled Down. I'm just sayin that I think that I would have stopped just like that. Unless I was going to run & I wouldn't have been there in the first place because I would have run. But if ghosts weren't in question...❤
People being civil to each other now seems like something from the dark ages. Thanks for pointing it out for others who may have forgotten how to act properly.
TAPS is and probably will always be the only true ghost hunters I can watch without rolling my eyes. There were many episodes where they debunked the haunting or just reassured the scared home owners. They were just out legitimately trying to help people and I eagerly devoured every episode. I miss you guys
If you haven’t watched Ghost Theory here on yt, I highly recommend them. They don’t manufacture evidence and they try to debunk everything. Most times they don’t find anything but it doesn’t matter because they are absolutely hilarious and the abandoned buildings they do their investigations in are so fascinating.
As a TAP's fan from WAY back can I say thank you for many hours of enjoyment. thank you for being honest and giving your honest opinion of Beardo's de-bunking.
Jason, I've watched all of your work, including your solo work, and really hope to see you get out there again beyond soon. You and I are the same age, and it's been fun watching your work, and you, evolve. My mom and I watched Ghost Hunters even while we both knew she was dying from brain cancer. The news given us was sudden and devestating, but your show helped her move forward into whatever we become when we are no longer here. She especially loved you and Grant's communication with the Princess. Your professional integrity and loyalty to the work and the group are clear. I miss your detailed attention to history. Please come back. You and your family, extended family, and dedication are what's needed in the World. Your continued work and work with the group are essential to excellence in the field. The World is waiting for you to produce more. Thank you.
@@Angel-hd2rsI agree! Beardo's goal is to destroy others. He has no interest in trying to understand the possibility. He and his followers are bullies and are in deep denial of it.
Ive watched Ghost Hunters BITD when they were still plumbers. I got to say, they helped me go and seek what is or isn't there in the dark. They helped my fear factor stay to a minimum. Blessings to the TAPS family ❤️
As a fan from the beginning, thank you for clearing up everything with Grant. The fans don't hate Grant at all. I wish you all well. I hope to see new GH episodes again soon!
I agree I watch them from the very first episode when they went to that woman's home and she heard that little child say they want us to leave I cried I cried with that lady she broke my heart all the way up until the very end. I continue to watch Jason, Dave, Sherry, and Steve, and hope to see a new season soon.
I love Beardo. Not just for the debunking. He is down to earth, honest and will definitely be the first to say if he’s wrong. He has a huge heart. He and others have created a community for people to discuss things openly, logically and have fun. I have followed you on GH. The way you addressed things with respect and honesty I admire. As a parent. I feel you. Having friendships where I don’t always agree with them. Friendship comes first. We need to do better in the Paranormal Community. It’s about research, helping others and learning from each other. The internet has shown sides of people that make me scratch my head. But the more and more, that I continue to find like minded people, it gives me hope. Blessings to you and yours Jason. I hope you & Beardo can do a video together, in the near future.
I do agree with you Jason and hope your whole team gets back together at some point but no worries if not, as our lives do change over the years and we can’t always carry on doing the things we did with the same people. I wish you all happy and healthy lives in your public and personal lives.😊
Ghost hunters always had such a down to earth feel. They all came off as good people and still do to this day, even now watching old episodes just feel good. I think what networks fail to understand today is that real fans enjoy both exciting episodes as well as the ones where it's just the crew doing the investigation. The other guys finding an army of demons every time they stop at a Starbucks just gets old and hurts the integrity of the profession. Jason and the team will always have my respect, they are pioneers in the field of televised paranormal investigations. Much love guys ❤️
Jason, I have mad respect for you. Thank you for FINALLY addressing these questions we have all had for so long!! You handle everything so gracefully and I just will always consider you and TAPS the first, original, most awesome Ghost Hunting team in the world! You realize you're the OG? The Godfather! Everyone else followed in your footsteps! It's very hard finding a group of paranormal investigators on TV that don't literally make me roll my eyes into the back of my head with pure disgust! Searching for some decent, honest, TRUTH-seeking investigators becomes a nauseating plight at times... but not with you! Much Love & Respect! On to the Next...
Beardo is great. He will be the first to admit when he’s wrong & apologize. He works hard for the debunking community. I have been a GH fan also for a long time. I appreciate you taking time to address things respectfully. More investigators desperately need to debunk & not just accept anything & everything as paranormal. It might be boring but it’s honest work.
In the same ep (I think) there was also a clearly recorded voice that said something like "You're not supposed to be here" and then repeated. Grant reacted to it as though it were real. In another ep, there was vid of Grant sitting in a wooden chair in a small space, possibly an attic, Grant leaving the space and the chair moving slightly after he was gone. It was so obviously a deliberate set-up that I was annoyed by it. Grant seemed to be going through an amature magician phase that unfortunately cast the whole show in a bad light.
Hopefully I'm wrong but if you see he's right hand looks likes he's pushing something like was a set up of course Jason won't say anything against grant because of there friendship that's understandable but however what it looks seems like it... @@eazie2003
@@BronwynsBane Yeah that "disembodied" voice sounded like it came from a walkie talkie. That episode was the reason that I quit watching the show. Between the shirt pull, and the voice, I felt that I could no longer trust any of their evidence. If someone on the team is faking it, it makes them all questionable. And I originally liked the show for the same reasons that Beardo did. They legitimately tried to debunk claims first.
Thats from the blue lady, the whole bar was rigged, the bar thought it was funny, it wasn't, it was a pain in the ass & expensive for the team, that pissed me off, that place sucked!!! I have watched you from the first show, Thank You, Your show convinced my husband to be a believer, We made an agreement, whoever pasted away first had to come back & let the other one know the afterlife is real, When he past, Sept. 2007, on my birthday that yr. in November my phone rang it was my husband, he said " I'm sorry I left you, I Love You" then it was static, I cried for days! I've always been a believer, out of every paranormal shows, I've always trusted you & the team, I still do, I've always believed in your integrity, the truth & how you guided your team I'll always be a fan, because of the above mention, Thank You Again I Appreciate What You Do🙂❤️🙏
Jason, I am glad you are open to discussing things this way. As a parent many of us understand that you are caught between a rock and a hard place. That being said, your daughter is still very young and prone to huge errors of judgment. Personally, I find the worst part of this situation to be the huge quantity of very young kids in Sam&Colby's audience who are affected by their Conjuring videos featuring your daughter and Cody. There are kids under ten who have lost (and are suffering tremendous grief over)a parent or sibling passing away. They expressed their deep sadness over not being able to meet your daughter and Cody to contact their loved ones. That is profoundly unethical. Of course no one should threaten anyone's life or engage in slurs- we have seen enough of that on our national stage, but in turn people should put honesty in the world as much as possible. I think you should probably get in touch with Sam and Colby as well- they too need to rectify the situation.
This was a great video! I use to watch your show with my grandpa when I was little and it was something he loved a lot. He passed last year and so getting to watch the show brings back some really nice memories and I'm glad to see that you guys are still doing your thing! The only thing I would say about the whole coat pull thing is I trust your instincts. You knew him for such a long time that it didn't seem like something he would do. However when I heard you say that he accepted another tv show without you guys after you guys refused the same deal and it broke that bond you guys had... it kinda made me think that if he was willing to do that which caught you off guard (especially because he didn't let you guys know!) then maybe the coat pull thing isn't so crazy to believe that maybe he did do it. idk just had that thought pop in my head when watching the end of the video. Regardless of what happened or anything negative just know that you guys provided a show that a lot of people loved and still love and it was something that friends and family members bonded over. I still have voicemails on my phone from my grandpa that I just cant bring myself to delete and its him telling me about a new episode coming out 💜
This was really awesome to see. I thank you for telling your version, Jason, and for being forthcoming about this issue. I remember it when it happened, as a loyal viewer of Ghost Hunters, and I have to admit that it caused me to question the integrity of the team. I never thought you'd do a response to Beardo, so this has been a wonderful surprise. We can discuss issues with civility and respect. Debunkers and believers keep each other honest.
I have so much trust and respect for you Jason. Used to love the programme, after years of suffering the ridiculousness of the UKs Most Haunted, you were a breathe of fresh air. Please always keep your integrity and honesty. You can stand tall.
Anyone who has been with you from the beginning knows where you and your team stands.... No explanation needed. We love your show, and your investigations.... Ever in Western PA look me up. Always welcome.....
What you are implying is that you know each person involved, both on and off camera and you will blindly accept whatever is presented. Sometimes an explanation IS needed. Even Jason addressed this issue, you always have to be sceptical, even if you actually know everyone involved. Jason was willing to speak out and face this issue and for that his credibility has shot upward. That is not to give him a free pass, nor do I think he wants a free pass. The trick to looking at something unseen and deciding it's authenticity is to forget about who is presenting the evidence and simply see if that evidence can be duplicated by others, then you will more than likely have the truth.
@ParanormalBrew I think the point is we don't all know him and the crew personally. 99% of us have to believe what they show and question what looks off. I do believe them/him to be honest and truthful based on what I've seen. The stuff I dislike about other "paranormal" shows are exactly what I like about him and GH
Don’t you love people who “debunk” from their living room? So many RU-vidrs who don’t do shit but will spend hours making assumptions and spewing opinions from behind a screen. Jason handled this with 1000% class. 🙌🏼
For those of us who are searching for genuine evidence of the paranormal, these kinds of conversations are so important. Genuine investigators and debunkers are, generally, on the same team, so the 'us against them' narrative is not only nonsensical but also inherently damaging to the overall search for understanding. We need to work together. So thank you, Jason and Beardo, for opening up the dialogue and doing so in a respectful manner. ❤
Ghost hunter since 1998. You did so much for our community man. Got to meet you a couple times and you were a perfect gentleman to my wife and I. I remember you saying to me "Dude I'm just a plumber who loves the paranormal, I'm no celebrity." It was genuine. Ya always seemed like a cool dude. Thanks for the memories.
I'm so glad you talked about all of this so candidly. I was a fan with my dad in middle school and high school of you and Grant, I loved your chemistry with and the shared sense of morality you had with Grant in the early seasons. As a kid, I looked up to you two and I think I was right to do that. I know you and him have now separated your work, but thank you so much for every moment of quality time your work gave me with my own dad.
Man, that episode where that "location" tried to doop you guys just broke my brain. I love how you guys all immediately jumped into "we're finding this fake crap" mode. Was great lol.
I'm still kinda on the fence about that spot. The stories go back a long way, so there might be some credibility to them, and I don't blame them for setting up those gizmos and gadgets to capitalize on those stories. That being said, they did themselves a HUGE disservice by not disclosing them to the guys before they started their investigation. Like, what did they think was going to happen? That the team that makes their living disproving hauntings wasn't going to find out that they're faking it?
@@stacyk123the trouble is, it’s now difficult to believe any claims made about the place. And when your busy chasing set up gizmos, your not invested in the actual ghost hunting. Things will simply get missed or ignored. It was a very silly thing for the owners to have done.
Yeah, I remember that place they went to on the West coast. Another episode was a bar/hotel in New Orleans... and they were having a party and they couldn't do or catch ANYTHING because of the noise! And the host/owner of the place was...a bit...TOO happy they were there. It all just seemed like just a big publicity stunt for the place. Then after the episode AIRED, (not sure when they recorded it...) Hurricane Katrina went through there! NEVER forgot that.
I cannot tell you how glad I am to find this video. I was a very big fan of T.A.P.S because of the level headed way you guys investigated. It's important to debunk whenever you can. Back in the day your team was the only one (at least that I could find) that approached the paranormal with that mindset. And Beardo is right... you taught a lot of us how to look at whatever activity is happening with an objective eye. To question. So when all this stuff about the hood tug surfaced I was disappointed not knowing what to think. And honestly, as far as that incident goes, there are still doubts in my mind. But seeing you talk so candidly here makes me have a lot of respect for you and what you do. Feeling that again is very relieving for me because T.A.P.S. showed me that there was a way to investigate...even if you're a skeptic. Thank you for continuing to be open and honest.
Thank you Jason and please extend our thanks to all of TAPS for your contributions to the paranormal field, and your transparency on what is behind the scenes
I really liked you on Ghost Hunters (my first paranormal show I binged when it came out), and now I have a huge amount of respect for you answering these questions. I'm a fan, and I think I always will be now. Thank you.
Thank you for posting this video, Jason. It's great to see you treat Beardo, of whom I'm also a fan, with earnest respect. We need this level of openness and transparency if ever we're going to start figuring out what the "paranormal" really is. Great job!
Thank you Jason. I understand keeping things close to the vest about your relationship with Grant. In all honestly your private life is private and I respect that. I also understand that now that a few years have passed since your relationship with Grant changed, its easier to talk about. I don't know Grant. but I have had a few interactions with him over the years. I do not think he is a liar, and I just don't think he is the type of person to fake evidence. I look forward to the insight you give your fans about the paranormal. Both new issues and new hauntings, and looking at past controversies...... Because you will always be a trusted source for me. Thank you for all you do and all the joy you bring. I am disabled now, and though I can still research for my group, and evaluate EVP's etc. I am pretty much house bound...so yes you and your team bring me much joy and allow me to live vicariously. Thank you
I have always watch your episodes. You are a standup person and respectful of others. Growing up, I have had real life experiences that I dont like to talk about. But thank you for all that you do. I feel that people should not go out and fake things when there are real people with real experiences . Keep up the great work you do and being up front with the truth. Prayers and peace be with you.
I totally agree with you jason! I think people don't really understand the amazing work that you do. Even you, yourself the big skeptic you are. How much it takes just for you to even say a place is "haunted". You do amazing work. Its not about the drama with you or your team. Its about you just wanting to help people. You do great work Jason! Keep it up!
Thank you Jason for this video and shedding some light on the situation. As a firm believer in the paranormal I have many fond memories of watching "Ghost Hunters". I think the community needs proper researchers and proper debunkers to 'protect' us from the charlatans that prey upon our desire to believe.
Thank you for stepping forward to address this topic and the topics to come. I compare every ghost show to the OG’s Ghost Hunters. The love, respect, kindness, and authenticity has been evident since episode one.
I appreciate you doing this Jason! I was a loyal GH viewer, my wife and I watched religiously. But not only did I watch, but I was on the TAPS forums every day, and I really miss them. There was never a better group of honorable folks on a forum. If they felt something was real, they proved why they thought it was real, and vice versa. And they hated to do it, but they solidly debunked Grant’s collar pull. But that’s the kinda people they were, the truth, no matter how painful, was the goal. Their debunks predated RU-vid to a degree, so everything they were doing involved videos (of course), well thought out picture diagrams, and collaborations with the best and most objective debunkers on the site…it wasn’t quite as easy to host a video back then as it is today, but there were still plenty of options available at the time. And their debunk was nonpartisan, and thorough. In my opinion there’s no doubt about it, that was deceitful on Grant’s behalf…and it broke me. I viciously defended TAPS over every other group out there, and I felt let down. Though I never doubted you, Jason. You have always seemed to be a standup, no nonsense guy, and I understand you were put in an uncomfortable situation. And because of your character, you’re still treading lightly with your words 15 years later. I appreciate you taking the time to finally address this, and I’m pleased with what you had to say. I don’t think any of us viewers expected you to come on here and air yours and Grant’s dirty laundry, but understand we appreciate what you have shared with us. And as far as I’m concerned, you don’t have to address this ever again. Thank you!
Appreciate the transparency. Some of my fondest memories growing up were sitting down on the family couch with my dad on Wednesday nights to watch you and the TAPS team investigate. Always had (and still have) hometown pride living just 25 minutes away from the original Warwick office. Slowly getting my two year old son into the show via PlutoTV to continue on the tradition.
Hi Jason. I appreciate your integrity and honesty regarding the Grant situation. It’s sad when friends don’t have the same moral values or commitment to a friendship group as you do and put themselves first. Well done for staying true and keeping it real 🙏
I found this from beardo, I watched you guys religiously as a teen so seeing you respond to this just made my day. You guys made me love ghost hunting while keeping me a skeptical believer at the same time. Thanks for such a great response to this!
Absolutely respectboth sides of this. Two upstanding members of the paranormal community handling a situation as respectful adults. Love Ghost Hunters, and Beardo. Hope the two of you collaborate on a project and show the paranormal world what two class acts can do by joining forces. Kudos gentlemen.
Much respect for making this video and addressing everything head-on. I too follow and respect Beardo, and I love what TAPS has done. I’m very happy you are not shying away from this discussion.
Great video. I remember watching that episode live. It happened, fansl talked, and moved on. It is not life and death. Your work has always been centered in education and assistance. People really need to stop living in the past and live in the NOW. ❤
I have been following Ghost Hunters for a long time, basically since 2006. I thought it was really cool to see you guys being professional and debunking experiences in the field. I’ve learned a lot from watching Ghost Hunters and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Thanks for handling this with class. This is why I enjoy your work and Beardo's. The paranormal community needs more of this. I would love to see you take a couple of the "debunkers" on an investigation with you.
Thank you for the honesty and for being an adult about things. I often wondered what happened between you and Grant. As adults, sometimes we make choices and those choices aren't always the best ones. Live, learn. I'm glad to hear you have a sensible mentality about the whole thing.
Hey Jason! Thanks for being doing this and addressing these issues! Also I'll never forget the stuff u guys caught like the st Augustine light house and others! Lots of us grew up watching your show! Cheers brother
Your show is one of my favorites. I feel like you always keep it real. I also, watch to learn. I have a lot respect for you. My Great Grandmother always said if your looking for a whole in the bucket eventually you will find one. My feeling is why are people looking so hard to find people's mistakes. People are wanting to believe. I dont feel anything should be faked ever. However, its all in a view and perspective. There are fakes out there. There are also people with different gifts. What one person may get at a place may be completely different than another. Does NOT make it wrong or a lie. Its that their gift is telling them something different. We need to respect each other and not try to take people down. So tired of this cancel culture. Have a huge respect for you Jason and your team
You (and TAPS) have always been the example I cite when I talk about CREDIBLE paranormal investigators on television because of your critical thinking, refusal to use highly speculative novelty devices, attention to detail, and especially your debunking. Which is why I was very disappointed when I saw your initial reaction to that controversy when it first came to light. I felt as though you lost a bit of credibility, and it felt as though it dragged mine down a bit as well, since I've always touted you guys. But I gotta say, this video is genuine, respectful, honest, sincere, and classy. I can absolutely appreciate your point of view and even though I'm not a "debunker", I have always stated that debunking is a fundamental and critical aspect of paranormal investigation, which I always encourage when I submit our "evidence" for peer review. And because of that, I feel connected to the debunking community and I completely agree, that you are definitely a fellow debunker. Great video, Jason. Credibility = restored 💯
good for you, glad you could get passed the trivial stuff. i sed to be an avid ghost hunters watcher. i dont know why i quit but seeing this and the respect you showed for beardo , makes me want to go back and find all the episodes i missed lol
I just want to start off by saying how I've always respected you and your team. You responding to the things mentioned in Beardo's video, only furthered my respect. I've always been a fan of Ghost Hunters and am actually in the process of re-watching the seasons. Anyway, I've never watched any of Beardo's videos, but he brought up SOME interesting things that I am glad you got to address YOURSELF and you did it in such a professional way, as I anticipated you would. It was eye opening to hear some of the things you said regarding the show moving forward, your relationship with Grant, how the network tried to skew evidence or whatever and basically not follow your ways of doing things, etc. Your honesty/openness is so refreshing and this video was great. I look forward to more content from you. Thank you, Jason.
Really enjoyed this one. Very classy on both sides. As far as any of the Conjuring House saga goes, I’ve seen an owner who was probably unpredictable and horrible to work with. When you’re in a job situation where your boss has coercive control, that’s a very tough spot to be in. I have compassion for his daughter because she was clearly trying to survive in a toxic work environment. 👻
I'm part of Beardos community....we have such a well rounded and awesome community....Beardo is a real soul...great person..... Glad to see you two having conversations......❤
I am going to vent here for a sec. I recently dropped a paranormal group that I've been following for four years because they had a podcast where they started putting Cody and Satori down. I don't care how good of a group they are, if they start making fun of others, or passing judgement, I'm done. So far as I know, no one died and made either of them god, so they have no right to judge anyone. 😡 I was extremely upset because they are a talented group, and I had been trying to get them in to a place here in Minnesota that I don't think has ever been investigated. I had also been trying to get them interviews on a couple paranormal shows. I honestly feel very betrayed by their behavior. Note to anyone else in a paranormal group who might be reading this: Stop trying to cause trouble in a field that's already difficult enough to prove credibility in.
Hello Jason Hawes, My sister and I have the upmost respect for you and your Team. We have watched TAPS (Ghost Hunters) for years since the beginning. But we have to admit, we haven't watched it so much after the last 2 or 3 years after noticing questionable things with Grant on the show. After watching this video you have renewed our faith that we had for many years with you and your Team. We are subscribers to Beardo's channel. He is a very decent and kind man who speaks the truth and admits when he is wrong. Jason, you and your Team are the absolute Kings in the paranormal field of research. #1 Thank you Jason for putting this video out. It has made a huge difference on the respect that you and your Team definitely deserve. sincerely, The Twins in Florida USA Diane and Denise 😊😊
For many of us paranormal investigators in the UK, Most Haunted was their inspiration. But for me, I inspired our team to be more like TAPS and watching this video has proved once again that this was the right call because @JCHAWES this was a truly wonderful, honest and respectful response. Beardo is a great guy, one we are proud to call a friend. Thank you for keeping it real 👏🏻 Chris.
So glad to find you're still doing investigations.. love what you do and how you do it .. was a huge fan of Taps.. not my business what happens in your life .. we all have happenings and it's no one else's business.. love you Jason
Jason you're a father first and a ghost hunting, debunker 2nd. Don't ever apologize for being a parent. I question everything I watch. ❤to you and your family. ❤ To you for being real for so long. Unfortunately common sense is not that common anymore.😊❤ Keep doing you!
While I agree, as a father, I know to scrutinize my kid as I would any other person. You can love despite calling someone out; part of being a parent is debunking what your kids say and ensuring there's accountability. I'm not saying Jason hasn't or wouldn't, mind you, but being a debunker and a parent shouldn't be separated.
I love how respectful you are in this video in addressing the things that Beardo pointed out in his. You have proven to be an honorable man and my respect for you has grown even more on how this was handled. Well done! I would love to see you and Beardo do a ghost hunting collab. That'd be pretty cool!
I`m here up in a tiny town on the coast of Downeast Maine, named Brooklin, and I`ve noticed from Day One of watching this man,Jason Hawes, the down-to earth honesty and the New England bluntness that is intrinsically woven into his being--maybe it`s the common bond of being from the same area, something bred within all of us from this part of the country......But I`m here to tell anyone, that from my soul, this man tells the truth and the honesty is what has always come first from this guy and anyone can tell that it`s a huge part of the guy....................Excuse the needless gushing.................Steve
I love this response from jason. This shows actual respect between both him and Beardo - how grown ups debate...clarification of individual points of view without all the backstabbing and bitching. Thanks gents!
This is a fantastic reveal. I've watched TAPS from the beginning, lost track a couple times, but always love you guys. Its so good to hear some of this. I've always wondered some of the back story. Family and life always has a back story.
Thanks for being a class act Jason Hawes. It’s good to see that you do have the integrity most fans always believed you did. I never thought anything was faked in the years I watched the show. I watched TAPS/GH from season one and on for quite a few years. They are the best, OG, paranormal investigators. I like Beardo as well and I do agree that the hood pull looks fake or what not. Unless Grant says “Yeah, I faked it”, no one will really ever know if it’s true or not.
Jason, I've always respected you and your team, and your methods going into an investigation. I've watched you from the beginning of Ghost Hunters. Credibility in this business is everything. I used to investigate off and on, but lately I've kind of lost the taste for it with everything going on in the paranormal community. There's a lot of people bashing others, a lot of fakes popping up on youtube and the like. Seems like more and more people are in it for their own amusement rather than for the research, the science, the proof for or against. I'm glad that through all of that there's at least one team out there doing it for the right reasons, and doing it with honesty and integrity. Thanks for that. You didn't start paranormal investigations, but you started the craze that swept around the world, and inspired others, like myself, to want to do this too.
Regarding Grant, towards the end watching him on TV, you could tell how tired he was. I was wondering if he was going to leave the show. Every episode towards the end, you could see he was tired and was ready for something new.
I thought that this was a well done and very respectful video. Beardo is a great guy. We are hoping that we can work things out to where Beardo, and some of the other debunkers who live outside the United States can come out here to the states and we can investigate a couple of locations together. Kenny Biddle has an invite as well. Debunkers are very important and being a paranormal investigator, debunking is very important to what we do.
TAPS will always be a special part of my life. My mom and kids would always get pizza on Wednesday nights and faithfully watch the show for years. Sadly my moms no longer here but I will forever cherish what this show did for my family. Making one day a week with no worries or stress. Just family and happiness. Thank you for those memories. ❤️❤️
Wow. I already had so much respect for you, but this just skyrocketed how I feel about the TAPS team. I grew up watching Ghost Hunters and I have always admired how y’all go about your business and I can’t tell you how excited I was to watch this. Needless to say, I love y’all even more now! 😂❤
I think you’re a stand up guy Jason! Thank you for all the years you’ve “shared” with us. I’ve been a fan since day 1 of TAPS. I have always respected your honesty & integrity. I hope you & your family are well! ❤
The only thing that bothered me about that coat pull was the fact that he kept his hand in his pocket. That just seems odd to me. I know y’all are pro’s but it looked like he was much too relaxed when that happened just an odd reaction. Good for you for sticking with your team! It was definitely the right move!
Since you guys left my tv screen, I’ve been enjoying the Fourman bros, paranormal nightmare, who you guys set a path for! I feel both teams are very much the same. Sometimes nothings captured sometimes things can’t be explained! Love you guys still! 🙏♥️
Hey Jason! Thanks so much for all you've done for the ghost hunting community. I was wondering if you might be able to elaborate a bit more about when Grant agreed to do GH with a new team. I understand you found out from a 3rd party so to speak, but if you and your team had said no, wouldn't it be "fair game" for Grant to accept the offer? Granted he ABSOLUTELY should have talked to you about it first, but did you reach out to him when you were offered too? Thanks for reading. And please know I'm not trying to attack you in any way, I'm legit just curious about how it went down. 😊 (PS Big fan of GH! My group started in 2004 and going strong!)
I think the issue was that at the time Grant was part of "the team". But when he was offered to take on the show solo with a new team he accepted without talking to everyone else. This isn't a case of he was asked to investigate one place solo, they wanted to reboot the whole show with a new team and one of the leads. Jason stuck with his team (which included Grant) and Grant was happy to leave them behind and take it on solo with a new "cast"
@rebeccajenkins2713 thanks for this! I just listened again. He said the other network approached them all for the reboot and they all said yes (including grant) then he changed his mind. Then they approached Jason and he turned it down bc grant wasn't in the team. Then, grant decided to accept with a new team. It does sound a bit shady on both parts bc then Jason also said yes after the fact. Two wrongs don't make a right. But, I don't fault Jason either. Either way I'm sad they're not a tandem anymore but love them both dearly.
@@BlackWidowRaiderette Grant decided he did not want to do the reboot. So we were going to move ahead without him. I declined doing the reboot when they wanted me, but not the others, since they are the ones that helped build and create GH. I refused to "cut" anyone out.
I'm a fan of beardo and I'm pleased you both can address issues like adults. Your show was the very 1st paranormal show i watched and i loved how you guys handled your investigations helping families finding answers. Now were in the times of social media and the faking of paranormal has taken over. Glad to have debunkers like beardo to help teach us what to watch out for. He's an honest and truth telling guy. He will always own up to a mistake if he something comes up. Thanks for addressing some of the questions.
This is why I respect Jason so much. Things like this is what garners you so much credibility. Being honest and forthright is so important in our field. Jason Hawes is one of the real ones. Always has been. Don't be a faker. Be a Jason instead. The field needs more homest people who can bring the respect from the scientific community that we so sorely want. Great video as always sir.
Been a long time fan, religiously watching each GH episode. My husband is skeptic/debunker, still liked the show especially for the honesty. I appreciate your addressing issues/concerns raised from the paranormal community. We have so much respect for you and the GH team. It was important to me about how certain episodes were aired and others were not (Ive read both your and Grant's books) and now realize you have no control over that. Would it be true to say you have no control over what content from your investigation is shared? Your and GW integrity shines through in your books as well. I do miss GW being with the team, I feel you both are like a lighthouse to ghosts, thus more interaction and evidence captured. Thank you again for your work in the paranormal, it's been personally important to me as I dont feel like I'm crazy when I've experienced paranormal activity. IMO GW made a mistake doing the reboot without the team and it's understandable there were hard feelings over it. As much as I'd like to see him back, i dont think you can trust him today due to his personal choices with A&E.
