Love that box of nibs! I first learned calligraphy with nibs that were similar but silver. I think the pen holder should have a groove that the curve of the nib slips into. As an adult, I taught with the Schaefer pens with cartridges. Fun finds as always! 🖋️ Your daughter is lovely and her room is pretty vintage pink, and soooo her!
I own a trivet like the ones you showed at the beginning and I'm drooling over your biggest one! I've got something to hunt for now. Your daughter has your good taste, but her own unique style. Her room decor, especially the floral scarf she has hanging in her window and the pillows on her bed, are absolutely lovely!!
I’ve never come across these trivets until the past few weeks. I hope you can find a big one. I did just see your other comment where you realize this is just a guest bedroom. I tried to drape some pretty beaded scarves over her bedroom windows and she would not let me! she was a lot younger then, maybe I should try again.
Love the sterling silver trivets 😍 I am so glad you were able to find 2 more Swarovski crystal flowers. Your daughter did a great job of her haul, she is so well spoken and lovely. Thanks for a great video 😊 PS. I forgot to mention the 10 ct gold bar pin - what a find !!!!! 🤩🤩
The silver trivets, is one you found earlier glass and silver? Maybe your daughter could crochet a crown in silver or gold and then you could use your rhinestone setter to add the gems 💎. The Swarovski crystal-be still my heart ❤️.
Oh I do remember Lillian Vernon products -they were a local company- Elmsford NY. Don’t recall that particular tin tho. So nice-it reminds me of the many Crabtree & Evelyn products that I would buy, back in the day.
That's funny about the doll bc I picked up about 8 dolls like that a few years ago at a thrift store. I just loved all the different costumes. My inner child wanted those dolls, ha ha. Ever since I've been wondering what the heck do to with them (they are in a box in a closet) but I can't part with them.
I bought a lot of 30 of them a few years ago. It’s the costumes that do it for me, but I had to just pass them along because, like you said, what am I going to do with them? I kept 2-3
You have so many stories (crystal candleholders) that I call ‘manifest destiny’. There just are no coincidences. Your finds are so much laws of attraction. You have some powers. Ever think of playing the lottery? LOL.
I looked again. It says zz14k. That’s why it was really hard to figure out what it said because it was a combination of letters and numbers. So I typed into Google that exact combination and it’s actually a marking for sturdy gold.
@@TarnishedTreasures1Isn't that amazing?? I am going to research what this expo was all about. This is what a quick Google search says "The National Export Exposition was an event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1899 that aimed to encourage American manufacturers to participate in international export trade."
@@rhiannancaraway I looked it up to an actually it says Philadelphia and it was an 1899. It had some paint loss but you telling me the first few words helped me figure it out, so thank you
Lol. We were told that the two for five dollars for small things were a general rule of thumb. The pins were marked $5 each on a sign. Then it just seems like you took a pile of stuff up there and then she just made up a price! This is the second time I’ve been to an estate sale by this company, and they seem to just make up whatever rules they want and constantly change them
