COMING OUT: SHE DIDN'T KNOW I WAS TRANS?! 

Interesting what you said about not really thinking about your gender dysphoria during the start of your relationship! I really think when I was a bit younger that relationships, and even crushes to a certain extent, were a massive distraction for me and allowed me to ignore my trans-ness for a long time. I think the excitement of new beginnings really distracted me from the overall negative emotions I had surrounding my gender.

Oh the explaining exhaustion is so very intense :( I have people in my life who strive to understand and I keep telling they won't because they don't experience life the way I do. Then they get frustrated because they don't understand and I keep telling them they can't but that makes them feel unintelligent :( It's an awful circle. So, my recent wording is, "It's okay that you don't understand. I don't understand what it's like to be you. However, respecting each other doesn't require understanding." And I just don't know what else to say anymore. There are only so many ways to try to explain and I've run out of ideas and analogies. I just have to ask for their respect and acceptance and hope they will :( Thankfully I have a good amount of supportive friends and family who either are trans or don't try to understand and just respect and accept me. It's so crucial to find the people who actually want to listen to you talk about gender stuff and body stuff and let you be excited about all of it Much love, everyone

Ahhh we have the same timeline for coming out and literally in the same boat only I waited to start low dose T in 2019 bc of anxiety so glad I did best thing I've done and now 6 weeks till top surgery :)))
