One thing that I would like to tell everybody is that in my case I do not have any relatives or friends here so after landing I went to take a taxi.. there a guy came to me and he took me to this car... I safely came to my location... But it was dark and I didn't check the change he gave me back... So he cheated and gave me less money back.... So just want to tell everybody that take a taxi not to go with any person who is approaching you... Be aware 👍🏻
Came back from Canada last week. Went there on a PR. The economy is at it's lowest. Empty restaurants and stores. No owner wants to hire. Giants like walmarts and freshco shifted from manual cashiers to self check-out machines. Even references are of no help these days. Job openings on LinkedIn and other websites are there just to keep resumes in inventories, there is no actual hirings taking place. Talked to a bunch of store managers at Hudson Bay, Marks, Ths Old Navy acc to them stores will hire in September directly for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years which in 2023 went very bland and I personally could not see anything happening in markets finance wise. Overall a bad decision to move to Canada atleast for next 3 years. Go only of you have surplus money to not to give a thought about securing a job for 6-7 months or an year atleast. The only people making money in Canada are homeowners who are exploiting tenants charging huge amounts for bunker sized rooms with 4-5 students stuffed in one room paying first and last month rent plus security amount (which is not legal) in one go.

No jobs in Oshawa, Whitby. Rents exorbitant, since area has 2 Universities and 1 college. Durham College has lectures scheduled both in first and second half of the day so doing part-time work becomes impossible unless it's a night shift. Campus is beautifully huge but on-campus jobs are 0. Look for jobs and housing in Ajax, Pickering which are covered under the bus pass included in your fee
