My journey in Scotland began at the Waverly Station - a good starting point. Just across the street on the North side across Princes Street is a Burger King. Around back are TWO backpacker hostels. Great places to stay with several pubs near by. And from Waverly Station - I have all of Scotland waiting. So on to Inverness by train and a bus on to Stornoway - all on a single ticket. A fantastic journey.
+yleineping Scotland as a separate parliament from the rest of the UK, and separate fiscal policy as a result. Northern Ireland is similar in that NI students pay (£1,500?) for NI Universities.
