I had the dumbest grin on my face the moment I saw Tiberian Sun launching on my desktop yesterday. C&C is my childhood.

Well now i'm torn. I want a Tiberium Sun remaster, but I also want to watch Zade eat a whole lemon.

A Remaster of Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 with the quality of of the first remaster would be so incredible.

There are well over 6k people playing Red Alert 2 now. Nature is healing.

Am I the only one who would love to see Generals redone as a modern game?

As an 18 year old that never got to experience any of the games until recently, I've grown up with a dad who loved the franchise and I've recently been going through a marathon of C&C games. This news has made me hopeful for the future of this franchise.

Tiberian Sun, RTS game with retail release 25 years ago, and made completely free for the last 14 years having steam player count HIGHER than Suicide Squad, an AAA major live service game with licensed DC superheroes is absolutely INSANE and WILD. Every game developer, large or small should take note of what's happening.

CnC survived to see the light!

The TS/RA2 remasters are what most of us really want. Those two games are not only peak C&C, they are also from a time of peak RTS. Absolute perfection

Tiberian Sun and Red Alert 2 remasters would be incredible.

When I was a little kid I used to watch my uncle play Red Alert 2, I didn't understand anything but I still remember some of the sound effects

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug! So people out of the woodworks come for this series. And I do think we'll see some form of remaster for Tiberian Sun. Maybe an ultra HD version at least.

Welcome back Commanders! I still play Generals ZH to this day plus mods. I own C&C The First Decade disk and taken copy of installation files. Got Red Alert 3, C&C3 TW and KW disk and Steam copies as well. What a great time. I might buy the Ultimate Collection on Steam :) C&C will grow Larger. Great vid man

3:11 reminded me of that Doctor Who episode where he talks with an officer fighting in the ongoing "The Great War" and refers to it as "World War I". The officer responds "What do you mean... one?" with great concern.

I still have all my PC Command and Conquer games from back in the day plus a load of cd's that came with PCGAMER magazine with loads of cheats and extra's for the series.

Deadline draws close, lemon is purchased and then the big reveal, twilight has been remastered.

These types of games are perfect for a VR mode

RA2 and Tiberian Sun + the expansion packs deserve a remastered version. these two games are the best in the whole franchise and majority of C&C fans want that.

One of my fondest memories of my late father was him taking me down to Harvey Norman and buying me a copy of the original Red Alert

I can see that it's not the most popular, but Tiberian Sun is my darling, too. One of my top 5 favorite games of all time, it's a very important title to me. A remaster would be so, so, so wonderful

It genuinely surprised me when all games pre-Tiberium Wars ran perfectly fine upon first opening them up. But when I saw the version numbers on _Red Alert 2_ and _Yuri's Revenge_ (e.g., version 1.006TUC), that gave me hope that maybe, if a full remaster isn't in the cards, then a QoL update would suffice. I'd be happy to play these games at modern resolutions with reworked multiplayer and mod support via the Steam Workshop; Steam Achievements would be icing on the cake.

Immediately swiped this off of Steam once I heard the news. It has some issues with supporting mods, especially essential ones like Genpatch and Gentool for Generals and Zero Hour. Hopefully this gets fixed real soon!

I know this is late, but fun fact, beyond the terribleness that has been ea’s app, the steam version for Tiberius war 3 is better as you can actually access the original game launcher, and thus built in mod support, with a simple launch option. Ea app, on the other hand, has seemingly patched out attempts by the community to reenable this feature for the origin release. I am unsure on if this was purposeful, but something they did blocked the community patch to get around them putting the games and their expansions as a single option and then immediately starting the game.

I still have the majority of C&C titles on their physical disk copies.

i just want to point out that there are fanservers where you can play cncra3, cnc3 and some others still online. about 70 concurrent players in ra3 for example, u can still find people to play with =)

I spent many nights playing LAN with my granddad on C&C. Mainly red alert 2 back in the 2000s (was both our favourite) he passed away a few years ago. I snapped up this collection and went to work on RA2. for the first time in a long time, I thoroughly enjoyed my gaming session from start to finish. I picked it up like it was yesterday. Remembered most crate locations! I'd forgotten what a truly quality RTS was. A remake would be nice as it really doesn't like high-resolution displays

I really wish they could release those games at GOG too. I would love to see RA2 and CnC3 at GOG.

I dream of Generals Zero Hour being revived into accessible multiplayer

Seeing this and that Ghost of Tsushima is finally getting a PC release makes me question if I died and went to heaven.

Let's just hope that A. The steam version is mod friendly B. Isn't just a "haha fooled you" moment requiring you both steam and origin just to play the collection. DRMing it to death. C. A bit of a stretch, but please modernize Generals to be compatible with Modern PCs. I swear Generals is by far the hardest to be made compatible if you wanna play vanilla.

c&c 3 and kane add on are my favorites. i love the alien attack (although short), it gives you 3 factions to play with. I play these on xbox x2 since it has game pad.

Tiberian Sun Retro was a pretty good mod for Tiberian Sun back in the day. They were able to incorporate many of the graphics and features that were cut from the initial release. Might be a good starting point for a remaster.

My childhood reborn. I forgot how good the acting and how much was put into these games. I was watching videos from Red Alert 3 and Tiberian Sun. My goodness, I forgot about the all star cast they hired for the cutscenes. I mean Tim Curry, Gina Cerano, Jonathan Pryce (Game of thrones "the sparrow"), J.K. Simmons, George Takei, and Peter Stormare for Red Alert 3, but James Earl Jones for Tiberian Sun and the legend Michael Ironside for C&C 3. The list goes on. These were amazing times. It is amazing that they stopped making the games. I know EA shifting the formula was a big part of killing it, but all in all it would be nice to bring it back.

i'm so happy to hear that people have been discovering this gem of a franchise again, while others are getting to relive the sheer joy of playing these games again. I found the remastered collection on xbox PC game pass a while back and have been playing it like mad lol. I think I need to grab this on steam and relive chilchood.

It's so god damn sad they didn't bother to officially adapt it for modern screens at least, let alone do any of the technical things that the modded overhauls do to make it playable. At least could have enabled Steam Workshop.. Going to have to keep waiting for the remasters for now :(

Old school player from back in the 90's of the series. Fingers crossed for another remaster. I still use the "Cncfreak" handle to this day in many games.

CNC got me into competitive RTS, it was my gateway into RTS games as a whole and what put me on to semi pro StarCraft, and I wasn't even around for the original games. I'm 22 and the games were such a big influence on my childhood. Give me my damn multiplayer back

Being able to play RA2 with all its memorable music and FMVs is completing that nostalgic kick i needed. It was such hassle getting both FMVs and the game itself work together and more often than not it would just never work, but now? We are back baby! By the way, i wonder if we ever see Red Alert 2 and YR remaster... That would be pretty interesting.

This was pretty much an instabuy when I saw the news and it doesn't even need Origin AT ALL which is neat. Would have loved multiplayer servers via Steam but can't have it all I guess.

I fell in love with the Command & Conquer series over 20 years ago and I'm surprised how it has stood the test of time. I bought the C&C Collection recently and a moment later C&C Remastered and it is still as fun as I remembered.

It really sucks that you can buy those games only in a bundle and not individually. And the German version of Genrals is still censored.

I never fucked with Origin, never even with PC up until recently. I grew up as a console player with C&C. I sunk COUNTLESS hours into the N64 version of the first game as a kid and I’ve been begging to play Tiberian Sun for years. This is a God send, an absolute God send

A Tiberian Sun and RA2 remaster would be great. Though I'm a little bit curious if I want it in the 'first' remaster's style (upscaled, but retaining the original art style), or a full-blown 3D remake. Tiberian Sun, for me, captured the essence of the Tiberiumverse. Dark, gritty, and possibly the most serious of them all. The mutant life forms and CABAL's rebellion still feel haunting.

From the title I thought there was a new C&C title being released. Right now I want Tiberium Sun remastered. That's still my favourite title in the franchise.

I got The First Decade psychically back in the day. It had a BTS dvd with it, to which one of the devs working at the studio said it was the first remaster. That where the remaster remake comes from.

Turning 19 soon. My father introduced me to Dune 2000 as one of my first games and I loved it. Later I found the C&C games and soon after the Remastered came out. I‘m so hyped for this. And remember „In the name of Kane! Kane lives!“

Tiberian Sun best get a remaster, it is clearly the best one. I would also like a Renegade remaster, with more that one PVP map, that would be sick. Peace through power, Kane lives in death.

I wouldn't say this was "GLORIOUS" return, more like, "yay it's on Steam". Glorious return would be if they were making a new C&C game, but that would be to good to be true.

I DESPERATELY want a Red Alert 2 remastered. That game was and is peak RTS and is many people's childhoods, mine included.

I was SO excited when I saw the collection available on Steam! Have been wanting to play many of these games again for years. Also, the SC2 "About damn time" line still works and is very fitting. lol

You can still play online with CNCOnline as well. And TW3 and Kane's Wrath STILL have competitive tournaments to this day.

Red Alert 2 is artistically one of the most unique and ubiquitous ever. You defined the Red Dawn fantasy at its core with Red Alert 2. I would love to see a remake of that and it brought into the true 3d world

I used to play a lot of Zero Hour and even more Renegade. Like a lot of multiplayer. Thousands of hours, easily. I wasn't THAT great at Zero Hour, but I was very good at Renegade. I stopped at about 2009-2010 when it felt like a chore to find a server with actual people. Good news about this collection. I hope it helps people enjoy (again) these fabulous games.

Command and Conquer games in my opinion are timeless, im going to keep playing them even 50 years from now !

Tiberium Wars is my first CNC. Though the first time I knew of CnC was from my rich neighbor who played this game. Good memories. I bought Tiberium Wars early last year and it was a blast playing it again for old time's sake.
