GDI Mission 18: Ground Zero. Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. Hard difficulty, version 1.09 of the game. Here's an easy way of completing the mission!
@@mathgodpiextras your videos open a new world of strats to me, i never thougt something else than build base and big army, but you on intire new lv of strategy
I've been through this game so many times, but because of your videos, I decided to go through it again using different strategies and it turned out to be much more fun
Holy guacamoly, that commando's definitely going down in history as the man who singlehandedly stopped the invasion alone, I'd say he's on the same level if not above Havoc Using ion cannon to cut power from the storm column to allow the command to infiltrate the relay node is excellent, but that's certainly not a strat one would come up with on their first play
Wow... that was a quick beginning ! . I keep getting annihilated by the airforce but i see now.... . youve gotta move quick on this mission to avoid the air raid !
Hey man i got a question, i completed this mission but i can't see the medal like you do on 0:02, whenever i click "continue campaign" it brings me back to my last save. Also, after finishing the mission, i'm being thrown to the main menu instead of the map. How did u do that? thanks in advance for ur answer
A very good question and it's something I haven't been able to figure out. Maybe try beating the mission on different difficulties? I honestly don't remember how I got the medal to show like that.
Watched this about a dozen times by now (entertaining to watch btw). The best strategy by now but still cant beat it on normal. The problems I have are either when commando has to destroy the second group of buildings or the vehicle/engineer rush on rift generator. Why doesnt nod attack you before you rushed rift generator? How does your commando obey you and not die when attempting the scrin main objective jump? When you successfuly sell rift gen and the scrin expansion building, why dont you encounter nod on that side? Sometimes when I send vehicles on the rift gen rush they stop along some corner under the upper left tiberium field and mess up my rush by not going with the rest of the group. Sry for the rant. Ty for making these videos. This scrub cant git gud fml
The commando has a tendency to run around and try to destroy things, even when you don't order him to. I'd recommend hold ground stance in the first part of the mission, then switch him to hold fire stance to prevent him from doing anything you don't command. Nod doesn't attack you until you either provoke them or defeat the Scrin. It's just the way the mission is set up. Also, don't build your first refinery until you hear the noise indicating that Nod has used their catalyst missile on the Scrin (or else they will use it on you). Units can be stubborn sometimes, and need to be ordered multiple times to do something. It seems to be a flaw in the game coding. Best of luck!
Sry for not answering sooner. Beat the mission last night. Did a mammoth rush on nod. Then detroyed the scrin objecive with 4 artillery walkers while the scrin threw a rift detroying my base. Good ending
@@mathgodpiextras i just randomly watched the kanes wrath cutscnes today cuz i felt like it and then i found a ai game of 1 nod vs 3 brutal scrins and then i found you, gotta watch all world records, is anyone else competing against you tho?
I'm v1.09 but my commando generally triggers a bunch of tripods to attack my base like straight away, I'm playing on Normal but judging by this they're less aggressive on hard?
I was able to beat this mission using similar strategy on normal but using the tiberium bomb. Much like other comments I always get nod attack me with large forces early on (even if waiting before putting down refineries), one time they didn't attack and I was able to beat it on hard in 14mins exactly like you did.
@@mathgodpiextras Just using whatever steam installed, bought it on sale about a week or so ago. I've played this before and have a DVD copy, but it was like 15 + years ago, had never played Kane's Wrath so I had to get TW again to play that. Finding youtube videos like yours turned impossible missions into doable ones, no way I was beating this mission without seeing this, so thanks.
Love the video man. Gotta be honest with you, I prefer version 1.0 to the 1.09 you’re playing on. The long range rockets kinda messed up campaign and solo play for me.
True but version 1 had some problems as well, such as Nod being too weak overall, GDI mammoth tanks being insanely OP, and mothership weapon not working most of the time.
The catalyst missile from the Nod liquid tiberium research facility. I think they fire at least one before you even have a chance to destroy the building.
I have no idea how you could do this in my experience. In my recent play throughs all the worst things get triggered, tripod walkers, never ending nod rushes. I even tried on easy and it instantly triggered the temple with nuke countdown. By the time I stopped the rift generator scrin threw their entire airforce at me, and before I could do anything the nuke hit my base.....
Well, it's No AND Yes. Multiple production buildings won't cause any 1 single vehicle/troop/building to build faster, rather you can just build 2, 3..+ etc. in the same production time as a single. But no single one is going to complete faster individually. It 99% of the time is a distinction without a difference except for when you really need something really fast, you're not going to get it any faster. It's not like old CnC where you could never have multiple queues but multiple buildings made a unit produce faster, like multiple barracks causing riflemen to be built almost instantly.
@@mathgodpiextras it had all the amazing units from tiberium sun, even the mammoth walker MKII. I can’t get myself to play the vainilla cnc3 anymore after playing the mod. Give it a go asap!
@@mathgodpiextras I know, but I mean, at the start of the mission, when I'm going to capture the Riff gemerator, Nod starts attacking me and I have to fight in both sides :-? maybe version are different
Well, no, if you find a way to take out the nod tiberium factory before they fire it, you won't get hit. Alternatively, wait until Nod uses the missile on the scrin before starting to build your base.
Did you forget about the second disruption tower? After destroying the first one you should immediately send Firehawks to destroy the second one. It's such an OBVIOUS mistake, and I can't believe you made it.
something wrong with this video, on hard difficulty there are at least 5 tripods stationed nearby the rift generator and they are coming in your base in the very beginning meanwhile you have just about finished building tech center... in you video aliens forgot to build and send pretty much anything which indicates you are playing some older version - difficulty "Homer Simpson...."
Let me reply to your "Homer Simpson" level comment with some facts... this is the legit version of the game, legit newest version 1.09, and if you do exactly as I did, you'll get the same result. If not, maybe you have a different game version. If you really had 5 enemy tripods attacking you at the beginning, the mission would be impossible.
