Lou you sparked a thought talking about Darnell Mooney the other video. Jahon IMO is on that trajectory where the talent is there but for whatever reason whether it be the coaching situation or not taking advantage of the opportunities, it’s not working. I hope this lights a fire under his you know what and takes WR2 job definitively
Mariota was brought in for mentoring and potential playing time depending on progress of JD. I don't know which one of them could be a better mentor to JD. Why not keep both? Resources are already spent. Ideal case would be to trade Mariota and get some draft capital.
You know how I said I’m 90% sure Tremayne will be WR6? Well the other 10% was Pringle. He may be a late addition but he was good for us last year, he’s produced in the NFL for a while, he’s an excellent run blocker, and of course he bring kick returning to the table. I wanna see how he handles the new rules. Speaking of late additions, I’m now lowkey rooting for Martavis Bryant to make the team. I watched him in the XFL last year and while I wasn’t too impressed, he showed he had some juice left, now he comes here in much better shape, and while 32 is old for a WR it’s not ancient. He also doesn’t have a ton of wear and tear on him. If he’s even 75-80% of what he was in Pittsburgh, he’ll be a fine addition to the team. Hearing him talk he seems humble and hungry for a shot at redemption, and I’m here for it. Aside from the receivers, I’m looking at the trenches. The Dline had a good day of practice and I want to see how that translates to an actual game, and of course we need to see if the Oline will keep JD5 upright, and if they can get more push in the run game. Sidenote: looking back at last game, John Bates had a monster day as a blocker. He fills an essential role on this team. He may not be the most dynamic pass catcher, but he does all the dirty work to help the team. Every TE room needs a John Bates.
I think we gotta keep Rodriguez because we need another power back to run between the tackles if Robinson goes down. We need to keep 4 RB's because Whiley is need for the back receiving back. Just my thoughts..
this team is hunting a 7-10 season. still a no name offensive line with no studs at tackle. Will we get any pressure on the opposing QB with no stars on the edge and can we finally establish a dominant run-game with a rookie QB leading the offense?
@@raymondjohnson6002 that’s fine but no one knows what is and what isn’t yet without really seeing a real game. So how can someone really have a definitive assessment of team talent like @ThePicofDestiny? And speaking of the Texans, you should feel good and bad about how we relatively compare to them. Good- because Jayden Daniels already looks better this time last year in Stroud’s rookie season. Bad- because Texan’s team was more established and solid last season in comparison AND the Commanders aren’t sneaking up on teams like that Texans team.
@3eees these are just facts, whether you like it or not. It takes time for a new regime and a new quarterback to establish a contender. This team still has glaring holes and question marks that need an answer. I have seen this rebuilding journey every 3rd to 5th year since 05. They better establish that old-school ground and pound to take the pressure of the QB and let Ben Sinnott maul some defenders.
