yep! and he also mentioned lathiel dieing to pongify but at that point it was another creature. but that was prob just being tired :D

The orcish bowmasters do actually trigger twice at the beginning, one for the etb trigger and one for the draw trigger

Yuriko is so OP and belongs at CEDH tables, especially as an extra turns build. Rest of the decks were cool 🙃

basic commander is always kill yuriko first, then start playing commander

No. Never kill a problematic Commander like her. Instead, lock her down on the board with something like Imprisoned in the Moon or Darksteel Mutation.

Building Eriette as a voltron commander is such a missed opportunity. She is an excellent political commander.

I love the mix of old and new commanders. I constantly hear discussion that older commanders are becoming unplayable due to power creep. I can see some cases of that but not enough to make all of the commanders printed more than 5 years ago unplayable. Anyway, great video!

Love how everyone hates on Yuriko when the wrong cards being targeted was what gave Yuriko the game, had arcane adaptation been blown up instead of the one ring i think Yuriko wouldve lost this one.

Glad to hear that we're helpful! However sorry to hear that you only get to play once a month. Fingers crossed that you can get more magic to the table friend. Also, Monday is not our new day. Sunday is the target for posting videos but things have been crazy lately! We're trying to get back on track and more consistent for sure.

Really disappointed Yuriko won, I think I've only ever seen one game where she lost. Her ninjitsu should have commander tax added

Hard to say if that's the correct nerf tbh. Card would be pretty awful as is if that was the case. I think a better nerf would be to only ping one player with her effect personally

@@bruvaroni I've got a pretty decent Yuriko deck and I can kinda agree with that. The thing with Yuriko is that, like some other commanders, you instantly become arch enemy once you do a bit of damage, and if you get focused, you can really be brought low fast. I've had games where I was set back two-three turns by having Yuriko be blown up after ninjutsu-ing and that set me back because of lack of haste. But Yuriko is so oppressive that actually being able to only ping one player who play well for politics. I then might be able to play the deck more often lol

As a Lathiel player myself, even though I saw some interesting tech cards, I must say.... Lathiel CANNOT place counters on itself from lifegain. The Lathiel player must have other sources/creatures for Lifegain to spread the love

ofc the Orcish Bowmaster get to deal 2 dmg and make a 2/2 army cuz it has a ETB effect + 1 card draw from monarch.

I've built Eriette and have played her like 5 times now and honestly... I don't think she's all that good. Her mana cost is okay, her stats are ok, her abilities are ok... it's just the theme of enchanting the enemy's creatures and draining, or voltroning is already done better by other commanders and she doesn't really do much. There's so much better and more interesting ping out there, Eriette just doesn't cut it.

Not trying to be rude, but how can someone not know what their OWN commander does? Lathiel can not put counters on himself; only other creatures you control. I was shocked when he was played immediately, then what followed, I was like...."What is he DOING?" LOL. I'm new to magic, I mess up cards too; but not my own commanders. I "try" at least to know how my own stuff works. Ha ha!

I feel that threat assessment should extend to pre game assessment. If I was Busterkins, the moment I saw Meren, I would have changed my deck to something that could handle her flesh bag marauder effects. I love Eriette but like all aura/voltron commanders, she does not fair well against Meren.
