Love that channel. I wish these boxes were more affordable. Since release they've been pretty pricey. I get that they're a premium product but dang lol
I haven't bought much magic recently because of the prices. Even for pre-releases I'm only getting a couple kits and singles. Not much incentive to buy boxes right now.
Commander is the real gamble, you need alot of luck go out as a winner from this one. Its good the Lg:s at least could go even on it if selling singles. But it was not healthy at all. 😮💨
Yeah, wrong question in thte title. Were these ever worth it? 😅 It's a massive gamble and since prices for singles fall anyway... with these releases, you could just get singles you actually for relatively cheap. I sometimes gamble on collector packs that I could get cheap from a friend who sometimes has access to better deals from distributors and pay maybe 80€ for a collector booster display. It's still a lot of money and even if I "break even" I'm often breaking even with stuff I don't really need and I'm too lazy to sell this stuff.
@@obadijahparks There is the other option: just ignore her existence. If you're playing tournament level magic, then why don't you have her at this point in time? -> the card came out in 2022 and was important the entire time. So you're probably not a tournament player. Amd if you're not playing tournaments: Why even care about Sheoldred? Playing Sheoldred is a bit like playing Rhystic Study in EDH. If your opponent(s) can't answer it, you'll likely win the game. But did you win the game because you played well or because your completely busted card didn't get answered immediately? In the end it's just a game and it doesn't matter at all if you're not playing at the highest possible level with your mates. The important thing is to play at the same level. Magic is such a money trap. It's so eay to spend hundreds of dollars/euros on displays or singles, only to want more/different cards within a month, because you watched a video or had a new deck idea or a new set came out. At least that's my experience, no matter how many cards I bought previously. There's never "enough." And sure, you can always justify your gambling and purchasing eddiction with "it's an investment, it'll be worth so much more in 10-20 years" but it really isn't, because a lot of things can happen to "paper" in 20 years. A fire, water damage, a break-in, your partner being fed up with your gambling addiction and throwing everything away. Also ETFs most likely have a better financial return on investment in 20 years... I'm saying this as someone, who also would enjoy a copy of "the one ring" and I do have 2-4 of every fetch- and shockland. A lot of them unplayed because I didn't even get around to playing that color combo yet. It just makes so little sense to spend hundreds of bucks per year/month on ... a game.
