the coach yes clearly. if u actually check kingsburry history, its not pretty. it always looked good early on, and collapsed completely at the end. every time, in college and the nfl. of course i would want o'connell 100%. i want the coach 1st that would give me a change to succeed long term. tied to the hip.

I saw the guys at PFF discuss this yesterday. It was not just the 4 QB prospects, it was 30 prospects they brought in at one time and they were together in a group setting, playing Top Golf. Apparently, the idea is, it is a kind of group experiment to see which QB prospect becomes the "Alpha" of the group and has the most people gravitate towards him.

These two (and Simms) don't realize that they're proving the Commanders' point. This is a job interview, not speed dating. It's the difference between "I'm trying to land this job and I need to show them I'm the right man, no matter what process they put me through," versus "I was supposed to be your girlfriend, and it's disrespectful that you're bringing in all the others to see if you like them better!"

Okay I hear a lot of bad mouthing about the group interview.... as someone who does leadership building seminars, this is a very fun interview strategy to see which person steps up and leads. So you have 4 qb prospects. You can measure arm strength and accuracy and 40 times, but it's tough to find a qb who is a leader as well. Look at Justin Herbert, an amazing talent but doesn't have that leader in him like a mahomes. So this could have been a way for the ownership to find who has the natural leadership qualities, who stepped up and answered a question first. Things like that matter. And if you are between a great arm in maye or the speed of daniels, this is a good way to see if one or the other or neither really step up and lead..... that's all have a good day!

they're not the first team to do this. the 49ers did it recently and the Patriots did it at least once that I remember. Some GM's want to see how these guys interact with each other. See who emerges as the alpha in the room and who looks like they're uncomfortable with competition.

I believe this was a smart move and who cares who you pissed off. These players have been coached up to look good and raise their stock by the agents. Throwing them into chaos and having them actually think in that situation is out the box thinking. Prove you belong or don’t belong at you current ranking. As a Jets fan I felt something off when he was already drafted and was standing taking pictures with the other players that was drafted to the Jets that year and he was a beta male looking kid and very uncomfortable. There is nothing wrong with that but that’s not who you want leading a team.

Having them think about what? How are they "proving" they belong at their rank in this situation? Be specific. It's a stupid test to pick the most charismatic one, which isn't necessarily the right choice. A charismatic QB is certainly preferable all else being equal, but the one who plays the position the best is a better choice. If someone is more charismatic but sucks at fulfilling his role, his charisma isn't going to save him from being hated by his teammates for not getting the job done.

Gotta agree with Florio here. Who wants to play for a franchise that runs their big board like an episode of the Bachelor? Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence.

Daniels or Maye? My Lord no one is picking Maye or Daniels. Washington picks Williams or Daniels whichever the one the Bear don't pick. Unless some team throws an insane amount of draft capital at them. They are picking a QB with 2 Williams or Daniels. Maye should be one of the last QBs picked in the draft. He's such and project. He one of the highest bust rates in the draft. You can't gamble a 2 on that kind of player when every other QB will be there but 1.
