Comme Des Garçons | Spring Summer 2024 by Rei Kawakubo | Full Fashion Show in High Definition. (Widescreen - Exclusive Video/1080p - PFW/Paris Fashion Week) #CDG #SS24 #PFW Chris Egan - Ice Mountain/Broken Doll/Relative Direction
It was so moving, I had tears. There's something so childlike inside this powerful and present nature. What delicacy and workmanship in every detail. It's way beyond clothes. It's poetry.
So imaginative and original! Gorgeous, colorful fabrics. I don't believe I saw a single black outfit bring down the vibe. The shoes are fantastic, could be a whole show collection by themselves. Could those hair helmets be tweaked slightly to serve as bicycle helmets? What a splash that would make. Just one functional problem: How would one manage to use the toilet? Oh well, If NASA figured out a way to accommodate astronauts' necessities, I'm sure Comme Des Garcons could resolve this issue. Bravo!👌👋👋👋👋👋🙏
A visual spectacle...when art meets fashion...not for the faint hearted...a triumph in anti- establishment fashion ...it's untouchable non conformist ...❤
The first thought that came to my mind was.......Grayson Perry, both the artist and his art. Maybe the designer here is a fan of Grayson's work and style.
Comme Des Garçon is famous for these art shows, it’s pretty much expected from them (during fashion week). They have other lines that are more “wearable” (CDG Play is an extremely popular line from the brand, alongside more stylish luxury lines like CDG black) and these shows are sorta advertisements if the brand’s identity to buyers, etc. Comme des Garcons isn’t my favorite brand, but in the fashion world (not necessarily luxury/designer world, but fashion world), they are considered one of the most iconic.
These clothes are clearly not going to make it to mainstream racks in their exact construction. So in a way, the models are fortunate that they have worn a one-of-a-kind apparel that likely no one else will be wearing.
@@Agapelove2024 are you just saying words and hoping they make sense after the fact? You sound mentally challenged. You're going to wear this crap to Chicago in the mountains at a fashion party? HUH???
First off, in the stores there are wearable versions. However there are people who would wear them, collect them. They wouldn't be in business (350 million dollar one). I wear her weird pieces. Love them!
Cute...theatrical costumes, they would look great in a fairytale like Alice in Wonderland or futuristic high school cafeteria workers for the " Jetsons save Manhattan."😊
Child you will wear these garments if you were going to the mountains. New York weather Chicago. Canada. The nerve is cosmopolitan something you kno nothing about.😂
This is completely cray cray. I reckon if I had an 8 ball 😂stayed up for 3 days straight with no sleep I could have created these! It’s art but at what cost? Like NO ONE is wearing these, or maybe I am missing the point
You're right in that her pieces are out there, and extremely unconventional. But there are people that wear her art/fashion. There's a documentary on YT, of a lady who is VERY passionate about her Comme des Garcons collection.
You're thinking of these shows as purely retail material. Not every fashion show is about practicality. Furthermore, even the extreme shows are often more elaborate than they actually are, with styling and hair that make simplistic pieces look unwearable. The atmosphere of a fashion show itself can alter our perception of its practicality.
First off it's Comme des Garcons. You forgot the "s" so I can't take you seriously from that point. I've in there and it's not like a student project. Her $350 million business says otherwise and the vast majority comes from the clothes (not perfumes/bags like most others).
@@BilekWorld girl goto the spelling bee. For the price of the items even with the novel construction its abhorrent, I would only ever buy her highest end pieces. But yeah the construction looks like it was done by a student, its finished badly and the farbics used are generally polyesters or other synthetics which is basically indefensible at that price point and environmentally. You can look at the tags on the garments in store. The finishing of the clothing is unacceptable, and I understand the deconstructionist line in the pieces she sells, but it seem much more lazy than intentional. Sorry but its just not worth it,
Il ont fumé la moquette ou quoi 😄 si s'est un défilé artistique ok, moi je croyais que c'était dans le cadre de la fashion week à savoir des vêtements que l'on est censé porter ☹️
It's her work. I love it! many do. Her business wouldn't be where it's at if not for her shows and sells. Perfumes don't keep her business going. Her main line actually makes more than CDG, Play lines.
It’s not for you then. Let people that do understand this kind of art form enjoy it. Art is subjective and it isn’t always pretty or has to make sense. Art is supposed to make you feel emotion wether is Happy or Sad.
fashion show has 3 type: 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭-𝐚-𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 or ready to wear (already made and practical clothes), 𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (special and detail, sometimes they combine with avant-garde or ready to wear) & 𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭-𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞 (like this one is more of artistic and not for everyday).
Well, I see you missed the significance of the sash tied in front. That’s a reference to a specific strata of sex worker in I wanna say Edo Japan. You know it’s a reference because they used to promenade to advertise and respectable ladies came to see what was in fashion. Much like a modern day runway. Then the bustle made of ruffles that creates a hunchback instead of a big butt. Initially, I was on the same page as you. The camera angles are pretentious and cliched. Like oooh we’re going to watch a light move-lazy! Seeing a thing move into place is cool but at this point, it’s uggs and a denim mini levels of basic. Then oooh, no we’re wasting a good five seconds examining a piece of paper. But by the time there’s a jeweled claw peeking out of a sea of ruffles, that’s high art. Plus at a certain point these aren’t clothes they’re sculptures, but they also breathe, like puppets. In the end, the engineering won me over. A lot of thought has been put into this. All of these … things are finished and cohesive. I wasn’t bored. It’s not like when a fashion line presents a bunch of half-finished dresses with the excuse of “””deconstructed”””
Na moral CDG q poha é isso? Quer arte vai pro museu krlho, que moda ridícula, parecendo cobertor pra morador de rua de SP😂😂😂juntando com um monte de reciclado...duzinferno de feio é isso diabo.
