I'm an 18-year-old from the Philippines, we do that "Thurible swing" in every mass, it hurts in the shoulder every time the swing is made. Greetings!

Absolutely beautiful. I will be in the Houston area for work in a couple months and am planning to attend Mass at your parish while I am there. We do not have an ordinariate parish in my state, so I am very much looking forward to attending my first Anglican Use Mass.

When I served they were called "Queen Annes". I'm not sure why.

@@gtoftoI laughed if this was a joke because I’m guessing it may be referring to the head of Queen Anne Boleyn, which was cut upon King Henry VIII’s command. But just a guess.

Tbh I’m kind of a fan of the 360s. This could be used in important days such as Easter and Christmas. Idk why but it just adds joy to the mass.

I’ve seen that done lots of times before, my priest does it every day when he ceases the Altar for liturgy.

Do they allow lay men to serve as permanent deacons like the novus ordo?

Ordinariate of the Chair of Saint Peter I attend an fssp parish which only does the extraordinary form of the mass. They don’t have permanent deacons like the novus ordo mass does. So I am wondering if permanent deacons are permitted in the ordinariate form of the mass?

Personally, I'm not a fan of the Thurible 360s. Its too dangerous, and it feels like a preformance (not denying the Mass' validity) Our Ordinariate parish doesn't do this, its better to be more like the Traditional Latin Mass than the Anglican "church".
@willmears1111
@willmears1111 Год назад
It is beautiful to see the 360 by a single qualified thurifer, and boat boy, and should have been done during the procession, as opposed to two thurifers (?) standing in the nave later on. The Ordinariates whole existence is Anglican Use.

@@Thurifer2005 I have the same feelings about this. Beautiful, but still dangerous to imitate Anglican service created by immoral heretic Cranmer. Catholic Church should be Catholic and celebrate Catholic Mass. But still this Anglican Mass is closer to Traditional Mass than Novus ordo.
