Naruto didn’t know what love was. He couldn’t tell love from how he’d support a friend from his love of Ramen. Sakura had been in love with the same boy all her life but never really understood what that meant. She definitely met her own challenges on the matter and even tried to sever herself from that love at one point and tried to develop feelings for another. But she was lying to herself and anyone close to her could see it. So she held on to that love and matured with it. Letting the feeling blossom alongside her. Her love was no longer a mere infatuation or obsessive adoration. It had become genuine. With all the pain, sorrows, and fears that came with it. It also brought unparalleled strength and valor. Sakura understood what Love meant. Years after the war, the Rookie 9 were rookies no longer and one by one were settling down. Except Hinata and Naruto. Hinata had worked up the courage for her confession, but Naruto was too dense to receive her love at first or anybody’s for that matter. It was only during a mission that Sakura was able to pass on what she knew about love to Naruto and not until that point did certain things begin to click. About who loved him and who he loved, and what that meant. From that point Naruto’s love for Hinata blossomed into the love for his family, his friends, and his village. Naruto finally understood what Love meant and it became a core part of his leadership style as the 7th Hokage. There are various ways and types of love for the people in your life. Learn and master them, and pass them on to others so they can do the same. That’s the moral of Sakura Haruno’s role in Naruto’s life. To Learn what Love truly is, to fight for it, and no matter what, never give up on it, so you can keep passing it on like the dancing leave’s Will of Fire.
I agree about Sakura’s love for Sasuke. Growth was visible throughout the manga. As for Naruto's love, no. Throughout the entire manga, Hinata was not around, how can you try to explain to the viewer through genjutsu and Sakura in one film that Naruto loves Hinata? Looks forced as hell.
