What about a tenant trying to enter into agreements with landlord for office space?Does one need to have a lawyer representing them when entering into a commercial agreement? Why or why not? If lawyer is required to execute a commercial agreement between a tenant and landlord, what is the lawyer really doing extra compared to the 2 parties signing themselves ? One lawyer told me I don't need representation another told me attorney is required for commissioning? Please clarify What are the fees for such representation if it's needed.
Good question. It depends, if a person understands every provision of a tenant agreement he/she can do without a lawyer however, where a person is not in a position to understand the provisions of the tenant agreement, a lawyer is necessary to review the tenant agreement and advise the prospecting tenant about the legal implications of the provisions in a tenant agreement.
