It’s, I guess, like how marines are called crayon eaters/jar heads or how national guard are called weekend warriors. I know Danny will never see this, but I was going back and watching some of his older videos like this one, and DAMN. His editing and sketch styles are so unique. I’m always caught off guard by the jokes at unexpected moments and the little editing stuff. He’s also so observant and I love that. Plus his outro song makes me so happy. The 'TacVisor" is actually a thin piece of plastic that covers most computer screens. This piece of plastic morphs the light making colors. (don't ask how idk) that's why the screens are white, they took of the plastic with a razor and when you put down the visor, it's like the screen has the plastic.

Having legitimately been trained in flashlight self defense, you don’t actually need a tactical flashlight. In fact a standard flashlight is probably better because you can take it anywhere; a tactical flashlight could be considered a weapon in some places

I don't know why but this is one of my favorite Danny videos, but the part with the gingerbread man screaming I'm a real boy never fails to give me just all of the Creeps. I go to bed wondering if at some point I'll start hearing that festive decoration screaming from within my walls, "YOU CAN SEE ME!! IM A REAL BOY!!" until the raw fear causes me to fall unconscious and I awaken in the Attic surrounded by all the other Christmas decorations staring down at me, as they say perched on top of boxes. And scrawled in the dust on the walls and floor and ceiling framing my motionless body are the words "NOW IM A REAL BOY!" When I finally made it downstairs the front door was wide open and I haven't seen The Nutcracker since. I pray that God forgives me for whatever it is that I Unleashed on the world

i can’t explain why but him putting a warning for flashing lights in the title makes me so happy. i’m not even affected by them, but it’s such a nice extra step he took that most youtubers don’t.

I always imagine that. How scary is it to live life when flashing lights can cause you to have a seizure and literally die? And then the fact that you could see them at any moment for any reason. And you always have to think, just because this video doesn't have a warning, does that really mean there aren't flashing lights? Or if you turn on the TV for a second. Movies have warnings, I believe. But what about when you turn it on and it's already on a scene with flashing lights? It must be nerve-wracking.

That visor is just a polariser, and the tv has it's polariser removed. So you can't see the image until you hold the filter in front. Iirc ltt made a video about something like this before, but inside diy glasses.

That TacVisor thing does actually work. It’s a polarizing film. That screen they were using had it’s removed so that when it was put back into place the image showed up again. That being said it’s absolutely useless outside of that specific scenario.

Just remember though that during WW2 the standard British SMG cost £11 per unit. They actually worked well surprisingly unlike the M16 in Vietnam which was prone to just not firing

For the military to afford high quality gear would require A) budget increase B) cutting the DOD budget in another area. Either way some part of the political spectrum in government is going to be pissed. Oh, not to mention the back room closed door deals these companies do with the government which included extra benefits for the person who gets to make the deal. No matter where you stand on the issue if your company makes most of it's money off war you're a pretty shit company.

The ‘tac visor’ is actually just a polarizing filter. The reason they could only see what was on the white screens is because those are modified screens with their polarizing filter removed (all lcd’s have a built in polarizing filter layer, and when you remove it, the screen appears white because humans can’t see unpolarized light). When you put a polarizing filter back in front of the screen, you can see what you are intended to see. The polarizing filter literally has nothing to do with how well you can actually see on the road, because the road isn’t a modified lcd, it’s a road.
