The only lifers are characters that were created to be a lifer. And now nopixel allowed public server players to play as a lifer on the whitelist server to add rp and give them a chance to prove themselves. So basically any lifer is there because the roleplayer wants them there

They can pay for access as well but yhea they're totally restricted to the prison.
