Long-story short: I conflated her intelligence, seeming-integrity, work-ethic, her willingness to pull her own weight, and logic in her job with her being "The Exception" to shit that I already knew about women. I think most men are so desperate because of a lack of options that they over invest in a woman once they find one. There was a study that said 86% of the time it's the man who says "I love you" first. My male friends will start dating a new girl, then I'll hear him telling her that he loves her within the first month. And she's moving in with him by the 2nd month. That just shows his desperation. I know lots of cool, independent guys who have gotten dumped by a girl after anything from 3 months to 2 years, simply because they didn't want to "take the relationship to the next level". Yesss, finally someone on here that has a vantage point that can see this. A healthy woman builds connection in your presence in live time and it is maintained in times apart. The times apart is supposed to be for the autonomous aspect living each other's lives on their own too. When it's a good balance of time together and time apart the polarity of attraction stays. Once it becomes excessive (too much time together, too much attention to the point where if feels smothering for either partner) or if it's deficient (not enough time and energy invested where it lacks the necessary components of a healthy dynamic) then the attraction drops.
