Let's be honest - Commodity came up with an amazing concept with the Scent Space Collection! Do you know of any other house that does this...? I mean, everyone comes up with flankers and the more 'intense' versions of their original releases...But, just to offer right off the bat - Light, Original and Intense versions of their fragrances - I mean. Its pretty cool... Have you told us which is your favorite from this collection? I feel like its Gold...Thanks for another awesome review! xoxo
I love Commodity and Velvet! It smells so divine and relaxing. It reminds me a little of their Tonka. Tonka is one of my all times favorites and I wish they’d bring it back
I recently ordered the Bold scent space kit and tried Velvet last night for the first time and it was love at first sniff. It wasn't even on my radar, I really ordered it for Milk, with an interest in Book and Gold. So very pleased with my Commodity experience so far. Going to order the whole scent space kit when the Sephora sale kicks off.
I just picked up Velvet+ and Moss. Velvet+ has more depth to me compared to By the Fireplace and better lasting power too. I'm really enjoying it for a soft, warm fall and winter scent!
I love Commodity fragrances! Velvet is my absolute favorite, Gold expressive is my second. I have Milk too which my daughter absolutely loves. I have ordered Paper and can’t wait to smell it. 😊
Velvet Bold sounds terrific , I like this brand and was lucky enough to score original Whiskey and Leather off the Bay for a great price !! Glad to hear they're bringing them back . Cheers Brutha 😎
Velvet sounded very good! Most people are talking about Gold, Milk and Paper in this house. I will definitely try them and take advantage of the Sephora sale coming up soon.
I love Velvet Expressive. It reminds me of rose loukoum topped with toasted flaked almonds. I've been through several travels from their first time around. I also get the similarity to By The Fireplace, but I prefer Velvet, it's better balanced. I'm so glad Vicken saved the brand, I think he is brilliant. I don't love the Personal its a bit meh, and I actually dislike the Bold (also with Gold and Milk, I just feel like they chucked the same BBQ smoke in the three of those). My husband loves Moss and Book and likes the bold versions too.
I just discovered Commodity and I love so many of them! I bought the discovery set and will be buying full bottles of several 👍🏼♥️I think the format with different options in a scent is brilliant!
I'm a huge Commodity fan. I adore Velvet+ and have recently worn it a lot throughout our Australian winter, although I mostly wear Velvet- to work (I agree it’s a little louder than some of the other scents in the personal space). I have just purchased Nectar from their archive range - I’m most excited about wearing it out on super hot and humid evenings during the Aussie summer.
Seb thank you for this review. Velvet + has been ruined again by the drydown dominated by the strong stench of patchouli. Patchouli is only good when it plays supporting role.
An interesting way of staging fragrance concentrations! I will be looking into this brand. Vanillas and Patchoulis are also my favorite scents. Thanks so much for the review!
How funny you posted a Commodity video. Just the other day I ordered Wool and Nectar. The last time I sniffed any of their other fragrances was over a decade ago. Remember when they had tiers? I think they were the white, black, and silver/platinum lines. Different prices I think had to do with the prices of ingredients
Fabulous descriptions, I can almost smell them in my imagination and at the exact amount described according to the space scent. The concept is definitely inspired
Great review Haven't tried velvet yet. I just got the Commodity Scent space discovery kits so working way through but looking forward to trying them all. I have full sizes of Nectar, moss and mimosa. All top notch fragrances for sure.
I have not tried any Commodity fragrances but the concept sounds very interesting! The velvet fragrances sounds nice. I also like vetiver fragrances, so I hope you talk more about those fragrances in another video 😊
I definitely plan on picking up their mega sampler. I have a milk expressive sample that I enjoy wearing. Sounds like I'll really like this one as well. Reading the notes I think the only one from the big sampler I probably won't like is the moss. The depth of the scent idea behind the collection is interesting.
Haven't tried any from the brand, I eventually try them but right now I'm busy buying the fragrances in my list, I'm very methodic in this respect. What I like about this brand is that their prices are affordable compared to other brands and I'm sure for what you saying that the quality is there. Thanks for the review Sebastian!!!
Hi Sebastian. I recently watched your episode on best online places to order. I went with number one, fragrancenet. After 4 days my order had not shipped and I clicked the cancel order tab on my order page. It immediately said order cancellation was denied. It's past business hours but I will call them tomorrow. Love your channel and reviews.
Most places show an item as shipped because they print out the shipping label after receiving the order, when in fact, they haven't even picked the order and placed it in the box. And when you call to cancel, they'll try to deny it. If you're serious about canceling it, you'll have to push back on them pretty hard (and yes, ask for a manager/supervisor) by informing them that *you know* just because there's a tracking number, doesn't mean it's physically en route. It's "processing". Very different from shipping.
@@lala_bee thanks Lala. Sebastian did mention they were a little on the slow side. I'll call them and will take your advice if it comes to that. Thanks again.
@@lala_bee well finally got through and was able to cancel the order. The rep confirmed the order wasn't even pulled after 5 days. That's pretty slow service.
I have Moss Expressive and i enjoy it a lot ! Waiting to experiment Velvet, and the others, like W*****y, Bois and Vetiver and waiting also your reviews of those ones 😉
I absolutely love Velvet. I have personal, but it doesn't quite last. I'm really interested in the original. I want it to smell the same, just stronger. I'm worried it'll smell different and that's a lot of money to spend
I recently ordered a discovery set in Expressive, and Velvet was my instant favorite. To me it’s rich, seductive ,and beguiling. I was initially interested in Milk but that turned out to be my least favorite - too cloying to me.
The only Conmodity fragrance I've tried so far is Moss (Expressive). While I think it smells great, I get awful longevity from it. I'd be interested to try the Bold version of it, along with some of their others. I think Book, Gold, and Milk sound intriguing.
I can certainly trust your nose as Patchouli and vanilla are fav notes of mine as well. I like Commodity Gold which is really nice, Rain smells like a shampoo. Not my fav. I want the bold one. No skin scent for me. The world needs to smell me😂
I have so many fragrances but still always like to try new ones, but I do miss so many mostly because there are so many. Thus. I have never smelled Commodity Fragrances, but know I probably will sooner more than later. I like their concept/format of the way they present their fragrances as it gives even more choices when you actually purchase one (as if we need even more choices than we already have). Nevertheless, I think it is a great concept.
