struggling with fertility issues, Elizabeth's insights into pregnancy changes caught my attention. i appreciate her comprehensive approach to discussing the various transformations during pregnancy. these insights create awareness, and it's comforting to know that these changes are normal. while Aspect Health is essential, my focus is on understanding and embracing the natural process, which Elizabeth beautifully emphasizes. sharing experiences fosters a supportive community, making the journey more manageable for everyone.
WELCOME BACK! I'VE MISSED YOU!!!!! I have been watching your old videos since I am now 22 weeks pregnant and due with my first baby on May 11, 2024! It has been a roller coaster lol 🥰
@@Nurse_zabe I'm having a boy and ACNE has been 10000000% active lol I have never had so much acne in my life! Oh and the skin tags! Every day I find a new one. This baby is making himself known LOL
This was such a fascinating video! I’ve been following you for years, not pregnant, don’t have kids, but one day I want to and I already feel so empowered with all the knowledge you’ve gifted me for when the time comes!
I’m so glad you’re back!! I started watching your videos years ago just because I was curious but now that my husband and I are trying to have a baby, I’m watching again!
Nurse Zabe is back! I think it's kind of funny how you were posting regularly during my first pregnancy and stopped a couple of months after I gave birth, and now I'm pregnant again and here you are! 😊 love your informative content!
Welcome back! I have a 9 month old now. Had a dramatic birth, I had to call the hospital many times that weekend because of stomach pains, which went from tummyache level to making me sound like I was in active labor the next day - but that day they refused to let me come in for another check, since they couldn't find a reason the day before. I wasn't taken seriously either when the baby stopped moving. When I finally got to come in after nagging calls, shortly after my baby's heartrate dropped to 60 and had to come out immediately. Luckily everyone at the hospital were amazing, so I wasn't even scared before I was put under. She was born with an APGAR of 2, and we were in the NICU for 6 days, but everything went well ❤ And today she took her first proper steps! 🎉
Welcome back! Just in time for me!! I started watching through your catalogue about a year ago to study up before we started trying. Today I am 30 weeks with our first ❤ What I learned here definitely helped me feel prepared instead of overwhelmed because there is so much to know!
Welcome BACK!!! I had my son (baby #1) right after you had Rosie and my second little nugget came along at the end of October! I missed your videos so much. Even when I'm not pregnant somehow they are so comforting to me!
Did you mention changes in hair color? Because my hair was pretty brown during and after pregnancy when I'm usually quite blonde! Also also...I grew maybe a quarter to a half size in shoes, BUT...I also already to have grown a half ring size with both pregnancies 😩 gotta get it resized AGAIN
Welcome back! I’m so happy I binged so many of your videos, especially the ones teaching how to cope with labour. I had such a relaxed birth, unmedicated, laboured in the bathtub… I focused on my breathing and took it one contraction at a time, and was rewarded with my beautiful baby boy who is 12 weeks old already!
Ahhhhh!!! I just saw youre back! I have been subscribed since wau before i was pregnant and im now 29 weeks! Im so glad you're here! Thanks for the new videos and your hair looks great! 😁
Welcome back! You're videos really got me through my last pregnancy and labor! My labor was precipitous and if I hadn't watched your video and been prepared, I think it would have been really traumatic. I've been re-watching some old videos now that I'm pregnant again, and I'm so excited to get new ones now too!!
Wow what nostalgia. We watched your videos all through my wife's pregnancy. Bubba is 3 and a half years old now. We were so nervous. Now he's a happy playful little man
yaaaaaaaaaay! have been checking every now and then. great that you're back :) pregnant with babe number 2. Birth of number 1 didn't go as planned haha but loving everyday so much with her.
I JUST started watching your videos again yesterday, hoping you were doing well, as you'd been away from RU-vid for such a long time. Good to see you again, and thank you for a new video 😊
Same as the first commenter! Started following you when I was pregnant with my now 3 year old. Currently on maternity leave with my 2nd (3 months old) and I need to rewatch your video on pumping at work!
I experienced fetal ejection reflex when my daughter was born in June (almost in the hallway!). My body just took over, and my mind was along for the ride!
Yay! Welcome back!! I can’t remember when I subscribed but I’ve had at least two babies since I found your channel. Had fourth and final baby December 2022. Love your channel. Hope all is well with you. Happy New Year! ❤
Fan since my baby fever in 2019 😊 So glad you’re back! I know you said you felt rusty on Instagram, but you did great. You prepared me for my wonderful birth experience in March. I’ll keep watching you for fun and to prepare for future baby #2 (Lord willing! 😊). Hope you are doing well. You juggle a lot with being a wife and mom, working, teaching a child birth education class, and educating on social media. I, and so many others, appreciate you❤️
I had Cholestasis with my first. I told the OB that I looked up the rash, and that was one of the diagnoses. I didn't even make a special appointment, just mentioned it before the end of my weekly. He tapped me on my knee and said, "it's unlikely, but if it'll make you feel better, we'll test you." I got a call the next week saying I needed to get to the hospital as soon as I feasibly could to be induced. He was on vacation, and I was rewarded with the best OB on staff. She took me on as a patient, too. Everyone was fine. I took a nap after the call, went in once my husband got off work, and had her 27 hours later. *I had worked the night before, overnight, and was exhausted. We lived in the middle of nowhere, and he had the car, so I couldn't have driven there anyway. I told him what they said immediately, and he didn't seem to prioritize it enough, so I took my nap.
Been subbed to you since my first pregnancy, and I now have my second child who is just turning 7mo--Thank you for all you do! Using some of your tips made my second labour a lot better than my first. I'll write it later, my kid is screaming, as they always do when I try to type literally anything. :\ (I'm not sure I'll have another pregnancy, but it's possible! For now I'll stay subbed for now just for the good vibes B) )
I watched your videos when I started thinking about becoming a mom, I watched them through my two miscarriages and now I watch them holding my baby girl in my arms. :)
Not planning to unsubscribe, but I did deliver my 2nd and final baby this past May 2023. I chose to do an elective induction since I had HG my entire pregnancy. I was induced at 38+1 for my first baby starting at 3 80% & -2. This baby I started at exactly the same place inducing at 39+3. First baby was 16.5 hours from starting pitocin. This baby was 6 hours from the same point. I got an epidural so I could get through the contractions as I was coupling pretty much the entire labor which was making it too hard for me to coop. Best part of my labor here. My OB was preparing to brake my water. He said he was waiting till I was between contractions because I was almost full and bulging. He stepped to the side of the bed then got to talking waiting for the contraction to end. Without thinking he sat down on the bed and broke my water. It shot out with so much force I heard it hit the floor and cupboard straight across the room from me also soaking his pants. He was like I have no idea why I just did that and we all laughed so hard including my labor nurse. He let me labor down for 15 minutes waiting for that urge to push while he quickly went and changed his pants. I then delivered my son after less than 5 minutes of pushing. It was the perfect labor and delivery I could have ever hoped for especially since my first was kind of traumatic when my epidural completely failed in transition followed by delivering my daughter with all the feeling. I am grateful for her birth as well, but his was so peaceful and fun. Long story sorry. I just love my stories and my babies and this field of medicine. Wish I had gone to school to become a perinatal nurse right out of high school. Thanks for all your knowledge.
Yay for a redemptive birth story and a little bit of humor with your provider. Thanks for sticking around to learn even more about this fascinating world! 💕
It’s my second pregnancy, I’m 21 weeks (number one will be 2 next month!) and I have such greasy hair when I didn’t shower the day before! I shower every other day, and oh man does my hair look great the next day, and not the day after. I got a scalp scrub to help, but I don’t think it has. I read a clarifying shampoo could help too, but I just feel like this is something I have to deal with for now… and use dry shampoo after my non shower nights. I also had a few cold sores on the corner of my mouth, which are more likely in pregnancy with the weakened immune system. They’re finally almost gone after almost 2 weeks. For a week, it hurt when I ate or brushed my teeth since one was on the very corner of my mouth…
currently 5 months pregnant with my first after 11 months of trying. im so excited but kind of worried about not being able to have the birth i want as most hospitals dont do water births but its super important to me for my religion
Definitely things that can be done to encourage it to come in less, but your milk coming in is a hormonal change triggered by the release of the placenta. I talk more about strategies to keep it from coming in as intensely/get rid of it faster on my formula video!
I am five months postpartum and all my luscious pregnancy hair is STILL falling out in great quantities 😂 (I’m fine, what’s on my head is still plentiful, my shower just looks crazy every day)
Varicose veins mama here. It really sucks and NO one talks about them! I didn’t get them in my first pregnancy but now in my second I’ve gotten them like crazy. It’s awful
That's a great question and it depends on where in the birth canal. You and your team might discuss the need for instrumental birth or cesarean birth. Check out my video on shoulder dystocia for info on if baby's head has been delivered and shoulders are stuck.
@kylezimmerman685 potentially for a cesarean birth. This is called a “push up”. but some hospitals actually a new device called a fetal pillow that is placed in the vaginal and inflated to help push baby up for an abdominal delivery.
Birth story… my baby was born in the car after a 2 hour labor. I’ll stick around as I plan on having more children but I’ll never pass an opportunity to retell our wild story!
