I admire Common because he really is involved in his community and works to uplift black youth. He is one of the very rare African Americans who went to Haiti in 2010 when the Earthquake hit. This guy truly loves his fellow human beings

Common I watched a video of you and John Legend and listened also to you and Yolonda Adams singing this song on my lunch break today. I was overwhelmed because I understand that this song is God-given. I'm sure no one knows what God has planned, but he echoes what He has already promised through this song. Psalms 103:6 As Marin Luther King used another song presenting the same truth. Mine eyes have seen the glory. God has brought this song to me twice in recent years. He's also shown me the end of that era. The exaltation and celebration of the black man and the black woman in an equal and appropriate place. Only God can truly do this. I didn't mean to go into all of that. All I really wanted to say was that as I was on my way back to work, I was thinking about how Common would make a great superhero. He just looks like a great superhero. Well as I watched this video in he comes filling just that role. Somewhat of a superhero. I don't know these young people and probably never will but I just wanted to say thank you Common for caring enough to give of yourself. May God continue to bless you. I was moved to tears by your generosity.

Watching this I could only tear up man. Our community can do anything, anything. Just give us the opportunity and we will just do it.
