Community Conversations: Sacred Trust Screening and Assessment is a look into the year-long project that was conducted by Dr. Danica Brown, Birdie Wermy, Amanda Squiemphen-Yazzie and Karin Dean of the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board in collaboration with Dr. Evan Elkin of Reclaiming Futures and Cortney Yarholar of Evergreen Training and Development. This project started in May 2022, when the team held group discussions seeking input from; Young Adults, Elders, Parents, Tribal and Clinical staff on sacred trust, screening and assessment. Emerging from the Community Conversations was the beautiful story from the Angus family of the Seven Waters Canoe family. They will take you through their beautiful journey of healing through an Indigenous worldview lens leaning on their Canoe Family and Community.
