I want to make a story-based puzzle/detective game. I was floored every time with the twists in Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, Your Turn to Die (キミガシネ ―) and Zero Escape, and I hope I can reproduce those feelings. This video was very touching since I resonate with so many points. I hope you can create the game you envision!
What I want to do is make a demo that's a slice of my game, very small, but polished to the level of what the final game will be. I think that being able to pretend I've got the real deal right there in front of me, just for a second, with no distractions or placeholders on screen, will be really motivating. I imagine it'll be impressive to publishers if I can pull it off. Until then I am a loyal citizen of Skillshare
Try it. But don't get discouraged if it doesn't work well the first time. The entire point of trying something the first time is to be the first time, so there can be a second, third and fourth time. I think your idea is good, get some content out there, but even the smallest demo requires most of the core systems to be in place, especially if its polished. My best advice its to just go for it, expecting there to be multiple restarts. Best way to learn, in my opinion. Good luck, I want to hear how things go...
HI I'm haunted by the game i wanna make too!! I'm french and i live on the Indonesian island of Java but i know japan too cause i was born there. My game will take place on an island much like Bali island. The island will face near total destruction from the volcano spirit.
That sounds great. I love places with lots of water. One of my favorite game places is Besaid Island in Final Fantasy X. Do let me know how it goes from time to time.
Yes Besaid I just listen to it's music on youtube yesterday. I'm thinking of just doing animation with grease pencil or 3d animation to see some of my ideas come to life. But when godot 4.0 will come out I'll try to do something with it.
wow You have interesting tutorials. gonna practice with them. Actually it's my two sons that will learn from your tutorials. Please if you have more bring them on.
