@kinghalo4245, the most touching thing to me is the community themselves helping each other just as the gentleman said that he hadn't personally interacted with any gov't representatives/agencies in the 3+ days he's been there, it's just been the people themselves. To me that's what liberty is all about, the PEOPLE & their free exercise of their God-given rights to live at peace and help one another in times of crisis. Gov't is simply supposed to be there to ensure the free exercise of those rights and the protection of it's citizens from "enemies both foreign and domestic"... What has made things so problematic over the last 20 yrs is the gov't making itself an enemy of the people, infringing upon the very liberties they're supposed to protect...
Real sorry to witness a President of the Country is totally so uncaring, insensitive and incompletent to deal with the harms to his people whom voted and supported him…….God bless the people of Maui!
Some people imagine that these disasters are just 'incompetence' BUT that's just a SMOKESCREEN for one huge multi-country, carefully orchestrated attack on our way of life currently. 'Incompetence' would be RANDOM, and therefore grant us an advantage sometimes, but you'll notice the people ALWAYS lose, and the 'elite' always gain. If people realised that this is all DELIBERATE, and not just some incredible series of 'mistakes', then they would understand that Gov't is working against the people, not for them.

They’re managing to organize all by themselves and the gov nowhere in sight and actually preventing resources from getting to the people. But we can always depend on the gov to extract our wealth via taxes and use those resources against us like the land grab happening here 😅

He also graduated from the FBI where Attorney General Bill Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray was at his graduation. Having worked on recovery, in Queensland, Australia, after disasters, l know how amazing local people are at helping out and the response of the wider population with goods and goodwill. A structured approach is needed though as it stops wasted effort and duplication of resources. I may be wrong but it seems that the authorities don't have a handle on the situation.

Why hasn't the state activated the National Guard to distribute essential supplies and help people ? After every devastating hurricane down here in Louisiana the Guard is activated to supply essentials along with local efforts. Perhaps Maui's plight and aftermath will be a good lesson to us all to be prepared to take care of ourselves in the aftermath of disasters. The US government is too busy sending money all over the globe and contemplating land grabs with no support for its citizens.

The sad part is a lot of these local families are barely able to stay afloat with the cost rising in Hawaii but they are the first to give what little they have. We need to protect Hawaii at all costs ❤
