Community Transit New Flyer XDE60 24715 Hybrid Articulated Bus Ride 

Built in late 2023, Community Transit 24715 had only entered service about a month before the time of recording in May 2024 Delivery of the 15 bus order of XDE60 buses from New Flyer Industries had been completed earlier in the spring, in order to allow the expansion of the Swift BRT fleet and replace the original DE60LFA fleet. In this video, ride the Swift Blue Line in Everett. 24715 and similar XDE60 buses in the 24701-24715 series have Gemini seats, interior bike racks and are powered by a Cummins L9 engine with BAE HybriDrive Series-ER. At several points in this video, the Series-ER can be noticed, with extended periods of electric operation before the Cummins engine restarts. Recorded in May 2024 in 4K on a Sony A7riv.
