I have a hartail downhill bike and commute on it 😂 It's a killer and you have to constantly pedal but I have legs like a body builder .

I was hit by a car Dec 2023, sat in a junction waiting for traffic to pass when a car cut the junction and wiped me out. That was sadly the last ride on my gravel bike which I had commuted on for 2 1/2 years, total write off. So I've had to switch to the only other bike I have, a Lapierre Zesty 7.9 (full sus). It's alright but for me the biggest difference is rolling resistance but I'm not about to change the tires for that one thing as its not gonna stop me getting to work and back. I'll eventually buy a more suitable/another gravel bike but still waiting for the car drivers insurance to pay me for the bike that was trashed.
