I love it ☺ it shows just how young and inexperienced he is. He's so sure of himself when he's fighting or following Duncan's orders, you almost forget that he's only around 20. Still a babe. I think that's why Wynne mothers him.
Hosea Davit So? My point still stands. A corrupt religion worshipping a god (Maker) and the "savior" that sacrificed themselves for mankind; Jesus being crucified for our sins, and Andraste convincing the maker to forgive man, and when she died, she became a holy saint of thedas.
Morrigan's talk with Alistair gains a lot more meaning once you find out she knew from the very beginning either Alistair or the Warden would have to sacrifice themselves.
@@ismael36 . Lol, no, Leliana knowing about it is definitely not a thing. Morrigan knows because of Flemeth. Why would Leliana even know? She never gives a single hint about knowing about the sacrifice in the entire game. You are just overthinking it with the song. After DAO she may know now, but definitely not before.
Oh, gods, you just know the poor boy was all thumbs and done in 2 minutes. I like to think the Warden let him be on top so as not to emasculate him, but she definitely showed him a thing or two later.
@@anorawalker441 I always head cannon that my female noble was also a virgin so it was awkward but sweet for them but the next day my warden 100% ask Zev for advice and according to Isabella “he’s a prince in bed that’s all I remember”, our Chantry boy must’ve took the advice from Zev and used it lol
@@jenniferdunlap2692 Doubt. The Chantry boy is more than capable and has the stamina to go with it, Zev is an elf and they are not know to be that energetic or muscular. If something is Zev the one who is lacking.
The romance with Alistair in DAO is seriously one of the best in gaming history, these conversations alone makes me never want to romance anyone else in Dragon Age Origins ever again. *Edit: Where the hell did all these likes come from, thx ^^
*Rolling your oats* *Polishing the footstones* *Tapping the midnight still, if you will* *Forging the moaning statue* *Bucking the forbidden horse* *Donning the velvet hat*
My favorite is the one Alistair comes up with when he tries to ask you if you've ever had sex before: "Have you ever licked a lamppost in winter?" Especially because one of the responses you can give (which visibly disturbs him) is: "I've licked my share of lampposts, and thensome."
Most of the people that developed this masterpiece are no longer in Bioware. Even though the name is the same, its essentially a new studio at this point. Im afraid we will never see a game with this quality along with the first couple of mass effect games ever again, at least not from Bioware.
Skumtomten1 I haven't given up hope. I loved Mass Effect 1-3 expect for the last 20mins of 3. I love the characters of Dragon Age too. Alistar is one of the best written love interests. I wasn't a fan of the 2nd that much but it wasn't bad. And Inquisition I really enjoyed. Finally I actually enjoyed Andromeda and thought it had some great aspects that could be worked on for a second game. I do wish they would stop adding multiplayer to there Single Player games because it just takes up resources that could be used on the campaign. But that's my main gripe only. Bioware is a company and it changing irregardless of the reasons was inevitable. Also modders do great work keeping these games alive still :)
@@zumeraaa No they are not. Andromeda and Inquisition are woke turds. I don't even want to talk about Anthem. "My face is tired from dealing with everything."
"I hate you. You're a bad person." In 2009, Bioware wrote this line to demonstrate how a character like Alistair deals with his own embarrassment. A decade later, Bioware would probably write this as a serious line and believe it was deep and dramatic.
Alistair’s tone when you break up with him and Morrigan questions him simply solidifies the fact that I will never. NEVER. End things with him. That broke my weak little heart ;_;
5:36 Alistair:"Andraste´s flaming sword! i know where babies come from! Wynne:Do you?Do you really? Alistair:I certainly HOPE so. JAJAJAJAJAJAJAAJAJAJA
*"I gazed... glanced, in that direction, maybe. But I wasn't staring. Or really... seeing anything, even."* *"Of course."* *"I hate you. You're a bad person."* Name a better exchange, I'll wait. 🤣🤣🤣
This is why Alistar is the best character in the dragon age franchise, he's goofy when he trys to express his feelings but when the people he cares about are in danger he springs into action instantly and is the most loyal character. He's the last character to turn his back on you if you go down the evil path because even in the midst of the terrible things you commit he still thinks your still able to be saved and turn back to essentially the light side.
I like his dialogue when going to the Pearl, though I didn’t take him there personally. He says ‘why do they call it a brothel? There’s no broth. Or is there?’ It’s a surprise
Gangerworld The legs bit! Oh my god I did NOT know he had custom dialogue when talking about Alistair being with a female dwarven warden. I need to do some more play throughs with them in a party together.
i love this game haha. the party banter is always entertaining especially for the romance ones, i was stuck between laughing and awing at how cute and funny some of these were
Wynne explaining to Alistair where babies come from... wins. I never had that dialogue, damn! Anyway, it hurts me every time seeing his beautiful face in Origins and thinking how bad they changed him in the sequels... and yet graphics should have been better! I hate them.
@@mothman6652 I started playing DA after I watched my boyfriend play solely because hes hot lmaooo, I probably will not play the other games because of this. Sad :(
@@mothman6652 Ive watched him play that too, none ever caught my interest. He is convinced on having me play an elf again in that one and making me romance Solas, which I absolutely do not want to do lol.
zev just had me dying laughing lmao called him ''wooless'' & shale's Jealousy adorable. wynne had me done when she said its time to learn where babies come from lol .... And last but not least ''tapping the mill if you will '' gotta love dragon age origins
I’ve been playing this game for the first time religiously since I became bedroom-bound with Covid and, as someone who has been the biggest Mass Effect fanboy for 7 years, I can’t believe I’m about to say this but... ...this might just be the best band of main characters ever assembled by Bioware. By any form of media, even. Or at the very least on par with Mass Effect 2. I love every single one of these insane morons and I would die for each and every one of them. I mean, ‘Caboodle’. Goddamn I fucking love you Alistair.
This game had the best characters and the best relationships. When Cyberpunk was teasing their romances throughout development, I thought they'd really put the work into the romances like Origins did, but they didn't even come close
I wish I knew what mods they're using to get the armor to look this good and freshen up the companions, too. I love how the companions are recognizable as still themselves but just... slightly better looking. Like a better quality photograph of the same person. Would love to find the mod for this, and to make their armor look that nice.
I like to think that Morrigan tried to comfort Alistair when spoke about the end of his relationships with Warden. She's not her mother, after all, she has a heart, even though she tries to hide it as much as possible
I'm so upset that there's no truly happy ending with him. I knew of Morrigan's ritual before i got to that part and so was determined to not send him to that foul harpy. I was resigned that I would be the one to slay the Archdemon. As the story progressed, however, I couldn't make him lose another person he cared for. He had already lost so many. So I sent him to her. As soon as I saw his face and how he moved away from her and how that bitch ENJOYED torturing him...I wished I had sacrificed myself.
Omg! I'm sure zevran just dumped them some where and went frolicking naked around camp and alistair just took the opportunity to wear something more comfy than his armour.
I got the first banter on my second playthru during the Circle Tower quest. I was playing a mage. So here my Warden is, the place she once called home falling apart, her friends dead all around her, her favorite Templar caught and tortured and broken. And Alistair is like "Ya know what? This is CLEARLY the IDEAL time to get dating advice from this old mage we just met! Perfect!"
