Hey guys so i just found out that my 1080p recordings are being mega compressed by youtube... essentially what this means is that the video quality is being seriously reduced after uploading. Ill probably have to upgrade monitors to 1440p to fix this issue
I want something like this for work that i listen to and not watch. Do you think you could mention anything about the units that comes to mine when showing them?
@@NickGalaz I mean why the dev didn't just reuse the model from COH2.. it already has historically accurate models. SMH.. and the green uniform worn by German soldiers look "off".. definitely not a feldgrau
00:23 these landing animations are straight out of a 1999 ps1 game.... All in all this all looks like Company of Heroes 2.5 Beta. I mean we have 2023 and this really dont look like a AAA game with todays standards...
They’ve acknowledged the graphical issues already, apparently it’s a bug so even at max settings it looks like shit. My only problem is ballistics when it comes to shells or rockets, they seem waaaaaaay to slow and just weird.
I think a lot of animations look really good like the MG42 team but then there are some which need a little bit more like the way the fallschirmpioneers were carrying that MG13
I hope they fix their standard helmets, they look like they are sitting to far back on the head and lack the defining shapes of an M40/ M35 helmet. COH never did the German helmets right though.
its just crazy how they looked at all the good aspects from company of heroes 1 and just said fuck it, remove all the good thngs like soul and fluidity for coh 2, then they fucking doubled down on the shitfest for this game.
Why do the Wehrmacht units have the AA , US Airbourne insignia on their helms? Or is that a diffrent german army insignia ( then again the tiger tank did have a star on it lmao)
The graphics in the technical test are too blurred to see, even if the screen options to the highest level (except in this test textures can not be adjusted to high) is still blurred, perhaps because of the filter and tone, the vehicle at a distance look very much like a plastic toy, hope that the official release version on February 23 can improve the filter and tone, or in the relic of the continuous update to improve it
I wouldn't bet my money on Relic improving anything, they dropped Dawn of War 3 in a heartbeat due to not meeting sales expectations and too much work to fix the problems it had. And CoH 3 overall feels like a huge downgrade compared to 2
@SoldatJames ton of details are missing like soldiers smashing in windows, destroyed vehicles explode in a manner like if it's 2002, blurry visuals, lackluster animations. Basically anything visual is worse than it was in coh2 from 2013. But hey, this time they release it also on console, as we all know the biggest market for rts games!
At least helmets strapped to the tanks look more correct than those on the heads. Weird, as normally the same model (crafted mesh) would be reused between different unit/game models for optimisation and workflow savings. This suggests these models were implemented in different times in parallel by different people and there was a general lack of production consistency.
Weirdly even more is that fact that tanks (panther & tiger) share the same voice lines for obvious reasons, but helmets models do not. That kind of reinforces the outsourcing art feel.
@@andrzejkulakowski the tank crews wear the same helmets as the ones on the vehicles which are better to what the normal infantry wear. Its a mess honestly, the german helmet is the most iconic in WW2 and Relic fk it up.
Infantry models are excellent as are their colors and skins, vehicles have great models but too plasticy/toy looking skins. Also they need to stop giving Germans after 42 Grey vehicles, base color was German "dark yellow" with green and brown painted by crews as they saw fit.
The collors are too bright and the game seems cartoonish, also the grenadiers have the symbol of 82n paratrooper division painted on their helmet, like wtf?
Yeah I can't believe they release something like this in 2023. It looks (LOOKS! Not gameplay-wise, can't tell how much fun it actually is) really terrible. That goofy animation of the scout car turning on the spot 🤣
Yknow people like to get uppity about graphics. I think here is fine, I’m just happy the lighting isn’t as bad as before and there’s way less stuttering now.
The animations and models look great apart from the slightly strange helmets and some symbols, but they really gotta work on the lighting engine. My guess is that they're gonna work on that later in development.
Wow, seeing quite a lot of hate on the graphics. I honestly don't feel like they're THAT bad, thought I can definitely see the developers went for a more stylized approach. Personally? I don't mind. Every Coh game had it's style, this one's no exception. I hope it turns out well on release!
@@thenasiudk1337 the game devs made fresh spawned vehicles all new and clean but they longer they stay in the battlefield the deteriorated they will look depending how often they have been in battle an attacked.
@@crumpetcommandos779 yes Is good but for a game create abalout the Italy camping there Is a real faction, dont have sense. The real annoing part is that isn't only this game that not create a real italian faction when we specch about WW2 games
@@francescodascenzo1023 nah I get what you mean, for instance men of War assault squad 2 announced a third axis faction and they made another German one... should've really been Italy.
they admitted they have not included all textures for the tech demo and also a lot of lighting and effects (updated version) where cut out among other stuff. But even with these things not included in the tech demo, it was still a +20GB download. So most likely it will look better on full release, how much better, nobody knows :P

Even it looks some kind of plastic skin to me. Especially the vehicles. But my really hopes goes for the voicelines. As a german its terrible to hear the german units in english with this accent. Sounds like some bad school-englisch 🙈 This mixed usesage... "My crew are ready, Kommandant" Sounds simple wrong^^ Or this "Lets go, Kinder"' Kinda funny but just no. Hope this will be changed for the final release. Edith: Was even looking in steam...only english sound is supported. Damn. Well then..lets go in virtual WW and laugh about the german units try to speak in english in 2023 :/

Because the good devs all left when Sega bought them they now work at BBI blackbird interactive and are making homeworld 3 this relic is a bunch of amateurs
god what else should they do? 1. germans fought against 52 countries 2. japan, italy for example the biggest axis members apart germany did not have fitting armies for those senarios.. no variaty of tanks for example.. does not match against soviets, us forces, brits on coh battlefields

The colors... If I wanted to command toy soldiers, I'd play Army Men. Not Company of Heroes... This is completely putting me off the game wich is such a shame because of how much I love the two earlier ones. I can't even bear watching the whole thing. It makes my eyes hurt
This looks bad for a 2023 game... CoH 1 from almost 20 years ago looks and plays better, also look at Blitzkrieg mod. There should be more realism, a faster game, more tactics, and easy death. Blitzkrieg mod for CoH 1.. It is the only way to play this game, once you try it. I don't know what devs are smoking and not seeing it. This is an easy and lazy approach. It is disappointing to see this game not progressing. We need to see physics and bullets flying like real objects, more of that and less points and health bars, +soulless NPCs on battlefield. It should be played more like chess with sneaky tactics rather than 2>1 vice versa when attacking.. There should be no excuse for not implementing this level of AI, mechanics, physics in 2023 game.. Once again.. mhmm almost 20 years later It should burn your new CPU how complex it should and could be.. and we want it! And demand it! Cheers to all who agree with me!🍻
What this game needs is the graphics to be fixed ui needs to be remade and the voice lines and sounds need to be improved otherwise ill stick with coh2 cause 50euros isnt Worth for this gamd
Most inaccurate uniforms and helmets i've ever seen in a ww2 video game. Did they use any reference at all? It didn't really bother me in CoH2 since the tone was gritty and dark but this just feels like Company of Borderlands in combination with the color schemes and art design.. Played the beta branch and hoped for better gameplay but this is Dawn of War 3 all over again. Such a shame...
Not the first time Relic fucked up the German uniforms tbh. At least here they pay homage to the different colors and shades of grey of the German Wehrmacht!
