Yes,but the civic uses manual gearbox instead of double clutch as the seat and also has a greater downforce regarding the seat by the rear wing. But if the seat has one of the best engines in the segment :)
it is beautiful to see that but the reality is another kind because the speedo of seat and VW has an error of 14 km/h the civic has a max of 4-5 km/h....
I have stock 2009 leon cupra 1p 240hp and it misses for 5km/h according to gps, I had 2006 megane R25 tuned to 270hp it was same as GPS. Top speed with megane was 245km/h there was no electrically capped speed. Top speed with cupra is 250, but its electrically capped.
xD, it isn't in this comparative, but if it was surely would be the last. The Megane RS is very good in the curves but not in the straights ... Soon I will make a comparative with the Megane RS ... :)
Sorry, but Your numbers are wrong, especially the weight numbers. The Seat is by far the lightest, Clubsport and Type R weigh about the same (around 1380-1410 kg). See the test results below. 2. The speedometer deviation of the Type R is minimal (at real gps 270 km/h it's showing 273-274 km/h) whereas the VAG products have a much bigger deviation (e.g. Golf VII GTI about 15 km/h at top speed!). 3. Type R is faster as Cupra, not by much but a little bit. See the real test results below. www.flickr.com/photos/dedethecollector/26900047782/in/album-72157665899366124/ In a dragrace against Cupra 290, Type R wins: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_RsyYchDy9I.html
First: Regarding the numbers you are right and I apologize, the 1457Kg of the video of the Honda Civic Type R are wrong are 1378Kg or so, the rest is perfectly fine. Second: The speedometers of the Vag Group if it is true that they usually give wrong data around 10 km / h And that based on the speedometers, in this comparison would win the Honda Civic Type R.
