Very useful information 🙂. I have a question, how to create a machining model from casting model without copy geometry? Is there any other options. Thanks for your videos and really appreciating your effort 🙂👍.

Use family table

Copy geometry is most used. You can use also inheritance feature or as mentioned below Family table :)

You can use merge inheritance feature.

Vlad, what's an easy way to find min wall thickness on a casting model, Im aware of section thickness option but if the model is more complex this becomes difficult.

Hi Zero, I am not expert in Casting.. But if I will find some solution.. I will post it ;) Stay tuned and thanks for your question. Vladimir

Awesome. I start working with Creo (I came from Catia) and this is amazing way to compare geometry. One question, how can I compare two drawings on Creo?

Hi Richard, thanks for your positive feedback. Some details regarding your question, do you need to create a drawing with more models and more sheets?

@@4kside The idea is compare the two versions of same drawing. I didn't find any workaround to do this on Creo.

Thanks Vladimir. Maybe you can post a bigger project and build a larger machine with more components (with top down modeling)?

Hi, try to check this tutorial - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sze-YD20xhA.html How to Set custom position for import geometry

This type of comparison i.e. subtraction only works for geometry that is markedly different. If there are minor differences in surfaces then it will not work. This is not best practice and Creo has much better tools for comparing geometry

I know that is possible also use standard Compare models.. Buy also is sometimes hard to see differences. Also, very good compare function is possible to use by Creo View MCAD but you need Windchill aditional license.
