Thanks Nuria. Very interesting comparison. I agree with what looks the best, but would love to know how you will fix that rise in the front and pull down in the back. That is also very common for me. Would a firm waistband help?

Thank yooou!! And yes, it’s on the plan, once I’ve covered all the pants foundations I’ll make a video on how to fix the crotch area and another one on waistbands (high/low) so hopefully I’ll answer all the questions there☺️

Hello Nuria! Thank you for a very interesting video! I wanted to ask which book would you recommend for an amateur. I have sewn some things, generally following simple patterns, but I would really like to understand how to modify and make my own patterns. Thank you very much!

Amalia, thank you so much🥰 My all time favourite book and the one that finally helped me understand drafting principles was Pattern drafting for fashion design by Helen Joseph Armstrong. It’s a bit of a pricy book but sooo worth it! I have the printed copy because it was cheaper and it’s been good enough. If you want to spend less I would recommend Metric Pattern Cutting for Women’s wear by Winifred Aldrich. I hope it helps☺️ I have them linked in my amazon store front in the description if you want to double check how they look like!!

Hi there! Im tempted to buy the Helen Armstrong book but afraid it wont cover what i need in particular, like does it also shows patterns for denim shorts and how to make them baggy (like jorts) or something like that? Im focused on avant-garde/streetwear garments. Thank you in advance :)

Heey, it’s a great book but I’m not sure it has exactly what you need… The book talks about how to draft shorts, how to draft baggy trousers but doesn’t specifically talk about how to work with denim or how to sew the pants either! So if you buy it you’ll have to mix some of those designs, I hope it helps😊
