It's wild to think that so many people are into this hobby, providing the opportunity for so many people to be employed fulfilling this need. It must be a tight little market.

MY Main problem with most of the MDF models of Wild West structures is all the wood planks are perfectly straight. I have visited many Ghost towns here in Colorado and no wood planks used are straight .
I agree that they look a little to clean but I don't know if I would use a 100 year old ghost town as the baseline. I have been around a lot of old buildings. None are straight but that is because wood warps and changes over time. When they were built they were often built with the same care that we have today. Amazing really as they did not have the aid of tools that we have today. That we even have ghost towns or old cabins and barns still standing is a testament to their work and skill.
