His videos have been pretty low effort, trying to hit that 10mn mark. he's not really comparing versions, for example Wii is basically the same as PS3/360 but has some motion controls, not really important, but you know, it's a comparison.
They REALLY need to bring back the level builder. It was such a good time to use, but so stupidly limited. Why did they make it be multiple separate builders instead of just one big one that you can use all the characters and parts in? Why can't I use Custom Characters in the stages by default? Why couldn't we set more elements of the level's visuals? Such as setting terrain, background, barrier, and music separately? WHY WAS THIS AND HARRY POTTER THE ONLY GAMES TO GET IT?! STAR WARS SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN ONE TOO! Such a fantastic feature is sitting right there. If we get Character Creators and Level Builders back in the next game, I would be so happy. Since you've finished Indiana Jones, you should tackle Batman next since that was the one which came after Indy.
It was supposed to be in LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, alongside 1 v 1 competitive multiplayer with the RTS elements, but both aspects were cut, sadly.
@@ryz5804 I am aware. There was nothing in Raiders that asserted anything about his ability to fly a plane though, other than it being implied that he probably wasn't super confident with it due to the fact that Jock flew him to and from Peru.
Honestly this was my favorite video game as a kid. They took crazy liberties with the story which made it novel (I loved how the DS game was technically a sequel, even if obviously non-canon). Plus the level builder was amazing and literally could be used to make a new story campaign.
A lot of people seem to prefer the first Lego Indiana Jones over the sequel but to me they improved over the original in just about every way. It's one of my favorite Lego games of all time.
I'd like to see your take on LEGO LOTR, and The Hobbit, more specifically, not including the ending. 1:50 HA! 2:33 I always love how the scenery in LEGO Games looks, and how easy it is to tell it from the destructible plastic pieces.
Sundays are fun because of you❤ Please make "when philsiopher's stone ruled the world" and more Lego and spiderman and James bond content. And for the next video I like that to be Lego Lord of the Rings I played this game on my Wii in 2009. Gold old days.
If you remember been scared of the first zombie encounter then you played Resident Evil 1 but which one because there is 6 different versions released for 12 different consoles
Honestly, I prefer LEGO Indiana Jones 2, and a lot of the reasons why were glossed over here. There's a solid implementation of object puzzles ala classic adventure games, the more focused, sandbox-y levels meant that stages could have more elaborate sequences that rely more on engaging core gameplay than just throwing an Uncharted-style "RUN AWAY!" sequence, and the you can't honestly tell me that the vehicles handle worse than LEGO Star Wars 2/The Complete Saga. A car actually functions like a car here - you're not sailing along in the world's drunkest X-Wing or Snow Speeder here.
"For example, this mission does have a bike, but you can only ride it for about ten feet before you run into some puzzles you have to solve on foot" had no footage.
Would I be haranged if I said the handheld version was much better than the console version? It feels less of a bloated mess since it only adapts KotCS and doesn't repeat the stories of the '80s films. Plus, the bosses aren't giant monsters with overcomplicated strategies and the level design isn't confusing.
I enjoyed this game as a kid, but let's face it: it's 90% filler content, with very short story levels and especially with the repetitive brawl and vehicle levels
These games sure were something. I had both but quite honestly? I preferred the hand-held version. Maybe it just felt more traditional to me, but I remember far more of it than the console/flagship version.
I’m very excited for you to cover LEGO Lord of the Rings! I have recently been playing the Vita version and the PS3 one. For me is the last really amazing LEGO game!
The different style of this game took some getting used to, but all in all I like it a lot. The level builder was awesome. I would be in Lego game heaven if they made a Star Wars version of this.
Looks like every movie / level in this game follows a very strict formula, feels like it's hard to judge from a glance if it gets repetitive or if you'll like it if you like the giant bosses and vehicles... does each race / boss fight at least feel challenging in it's own ways, or is it just carbon copy of each other?
I remember enjoying this game fine enough as a kid, but I always preferred the first game. Going over the repetitious mission structure and overall smaller levels helped explain why.
I wonder if they'll ever do a Skywalker Saga-style LEGO Indiana Jones game covering all five movies including Dial of Destiny with large open worlds based on locations from the movies, new levels based on the big setpieces from each movie, and full voice acting for the first time in a LEGO Indiana Jones game. And I would like to see you do more videos covering more LEGO games, like the LEGO Batman trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Marvel Super Heroes and Marvel's Avengers, The LEGO Movie Videogame and LEGO Jurassic World! And though it's not a LEGO game, I'd like to see you do a video comparing every version of the Fantastic Four 2005 movie videogame. I got the PS2 version for my birthday and it's pretty good!
Unfortunately, it looks like Travelers Tales aren't doing any more Lego games. In fact, the studio might be dead. Warner Bros. Pushed the devs to their limits, and most of them must've promptly left after being ordered to do Lego Harry Potter Years 1-7.
I Remember playing this game on the Ds, It was so and I had so good memories, i had the chance to try the demo of the console version, the gameplay was kinda cool but i still prefer the Ds version for the nostalgia
I have the Xbox 360 version of Lego Indiana Jones two the adventures continues and I have played the ds version on my dsi and my 2ds on my R4 cartridge in the past
Now that you've covered the LEGO Indiana Jones games, I think you ought to cover LEGO Batman next, since that's what followed up the first LEGO Indy game! Also, I wasn't aware that the PSP version was actually superior to the console versions. Usually it's the over way around.
I must say usually Iam somewhat sad, that I only played the DS versions of most lego Games and didnt witness the far bigger and more thought out flagship versions, but in this case the DS version feels far better
i remember buying the psp version and being so disappointed. lego star wars 2 was IDENTICAL to its console counterparts. to me, LIJ 2 being a port of the DS was unexcusable. it marked the point when psp ports got lazy.
Uh, no it wasn't. You're thinking of The Complete Saga. Flandrew demonstrated how different the DS/PSP version of Lego Star Wars II was to the console version.
Also, I like when handheld ports try to do something different from the console versions. That's why I consider the period between 2005 and 2010 to be the golden age of handheld Lego games.
@@jlev1028No, the PSP version of LSW2 was closer to the console counterpart save for some limitations like number of characters on screen and a lack of bounty hunter missions but including other extras to make up for it. The DS version was completely different, then the DS version of TCS was closer but kind of like a... just off center version? It's functionally the same, but feels like looking at someone's child cousin's rendition of the Mona Lisa.
I'm kinda new to the lego games and in June I want to buy some lego games on steam. I just bought others too. Why the second lego Indiana Jones game isn't that good, at least compared to the first one? I'm at half of the story mode of the first one
some people dont like the levels being short. Dont care about what other people say, play and then if you like it thats good. Its one of my favourite lego games.
2nd game just doesn't feel as fun as the first one, in my opinion. Levels are very different and seem VERY rushed. However, I find that the 2nd game is still worth your money. It's my 3rd favourite Lego game.
the first game is a full normal Lego game where you get 6 Levels fpor all 3 movies of the original trilogy, and then some extra stuff. Indy 2 has really short levels remaking what we have gotten before in Indy 1 for the original Trilogy (and remember, these games were literally only one year apart), so why would i play these levels if i can just play Lego Indy 1?Personally I also don't like how they made every Boss fight against some giant monster creature (in an attempt to be different from Lego Indy 1's boss levels maybe?) And then Crystal Skull is stretched out as hell. The character selection is also pretty bad.
@@gordonfreeman2634 Hot take, but I honestly prefer shorter levels in Lego games. Not really Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga levels of short, but I don't like doing a really long level, and then when I replay it, I have to spend a lot of time playing through the level again just so I can grab what collectables I've missed. It's made even worse by the fact even on a first playthrough, longer levels can drag for me. To the point where I just want them to end. At least shorter levels are easier to digest. But, again. That's just my opinion.
I remember being excited to get this on my DS back in the day because I enjoyed Complete Saga on it so much. Yeah I can’t remember much past getting to Mutt and honestly I’ve maybe played at most the first level whenever I tried the console version. This game is just honestly so forgettable
I know he didn't include this as a choice but i cannot see a lego game and not think Lego Racers. I still have my original ps1 copy. Played that game endlessly as a kid.
I always thought the more hubs was odd I have to give it a go again, wasn't really into it, hated ant boss was confusing. Lego vehicle controls never good. Had PS3 Lego Indy 2 but PSP of Lego Batman 1, Pirates and DS od Lego Harry both. So the different version here is interesting. I will take a look at the handheld version then seems interesting. I mean any Lego would be fine. Batman, Pirates or otherwise or just not Lego and something different I guess. I think I remember the creator bonus and can't remember the Lego City bonus area in this game compared to Complete Saga.
I feel like I would've loved the portable version more. The console version is absolutely fine, but it pales in comparison to about most other lego games. One of the few Ls the games have taken.
Keep in mind it released like a year after LIJ1. If they made it in the regular style, it'd just feel like they should have delayed the first game instead of releasing 2 of almost the same game. Don't look at LIJ2 as it's own thing, look at it as a bonus thing that exists alongside the first game and it works much better. 1 has the story levels, character roster and traditional LEGO game stuff, the second has open worlds, vehicle missions, a level builder, and a lot of short levels.
I've only played the XBOX 360 version. I loved the hubs and especially the level creator (I also wish it had carried over into other games)! What I didn't like is how short the levels were, how limited the free play was, and how much content from the original trilogy they left out. Also, when you're trying to collect everything in the vehicle levels, they are insanely long! I'm still hoping that they make a third game based on all five films and the modern TT LEGO game formula. It'd be interesting to see how the dialogue skirts around all references to the Nazis!
