According to my perception student should have to spend little more time on basic knowledge that will help you in planing of your project nd u will go in very Planned way . Since I am int phd students in iiser, so i have seen that people who don't have good knowledge in basic parts they will go randomly nd will get results after along time. Another thing is since now a days research is interdisciplinary so definitely each should have deep knowledge of math+ physics+chem+ bio for best outcome. Since before 5th year project each student had done many summer project so already they have good idea about their research topic so after that one year is enough for ms thesis. Iphd student is getting 10k -16k per month till two year of MS after that 31k( jrf) Since iiser is indian Institute like iim, iit governed by mhrd so it have greater outreach ( charpak scholarship etc)

Hi...i have a doubt...i have applied for nest 2021 and am a 2019 passed... according to the eligibility criteria...i am eligible coz i m of 2019...so i successfully registered for the exam...but they r also saying that the age must not exceed 20 and i m already 20...so can i still have a chance of getting into niser if i score very good marks in the exam

Yes, it definitely helps to strengthen the basics, however I don't exactly know what did the founders of NISER and IISER decide with such academic Structure. Yes, I must have mentioned in my video that, in this video I am only talking about Int Msc Course. Definitely for int phd or other courses there are stipends..etc. And once again thanks for your valuable comment.

phds get thier JRF or SRF amount around 30,000 from DAE. The fees is I think same for all. Hostel fees, and for all other facilities is just less than 1000 in a year.

inspire scholarship but that is not for all iiser students. INSPIRE is not given by IISERs, it is a different and separate scholarship

For general and obc- 80 and above out of 150 would be good enough to get a seat. With cutoff cleared in all 4 sections
