local here ! so many people never pick their fruit lol one time I found a 2 cherimoyas in the grass walking around Santa Barbara saved my self a lot a of $$ delicious free treats hehe
@@jonaimz thank you that is good to know. I am moving in a few months from Chile to Seattle, so I won't be able to keep growing avocados and chirimoyas there. I hope I can still be growing Palmas Chilenas.
Have grown many feijoas in my time - fairly successful against a south wall in Virginia- very successful freestanding in San Diego- no fruit yet here north of Seattle. I have one seedling in the ground ( heavy damage @4f last winter) and five grafted varieties in containers that I shelter in winter. I believe that they will only be fruitful here if you have the extremely elusive varieties that were bred for coastal areas of Cal - which I do not have. The one thing that I was never sure of was the pronunciation- and yours is different than any I have ever heard, but I will go with that from now on
