Hello my name is Justin Ackerman, and this is my 2023 Toyota GR86. In this video i show off how my PLM Catless UEL Headers and AWE Track Catback exhaust sound in comparison to my buddy Jays GR86 with PLM Catless UEL Headers and the MXP COMP RS Catback exhaust. I hope you enjoy the video...

The plm uel headers and awe track is the best exhaust setup for a gr86 in my opinion

I can understand where you are coming from. At the end of the day both cars sound really good imo, and that’s the fun about exhaust setups. You can always change it out for something else down the line. Thanks for watching 🤝💙

Yeah some people may think that, and that’s completely fine. I know that this isn’t everybody taste. The camera also doesn’t do a justice for how the car truly sounds, of course it is super loud but it does have a really nice tone to it in person. Which is why i absolutely love the way it sounds right now.

@@Justinackerman_ Japan domestic market. Exhausts that are made for the Japanese market which adhere to the Japanese regulations for noise pollution. They are very refined and sound great. A slow car with an extremely loud exhaust note is annoying and inconsiderate to others..

If I ever decide that I want to switch the exhaust setup, I can. I don’t need to keep this setup forever, so I I ever find another setup that I want to try out i definitely consider it.

Another nice video, finally got my 86 in beginning of July, I recently bought the MXP Comp RS exhaust and was thinking about headers too. This is a great example of what I should expect

I definitely think Jays 86 sounds really good, tbh the video doesn’t really do a justice. My car does sound a bit raspy coming through the camera, but at the same time I can’t lie and say it’s not obnoxiously loud and a bit raspy as well. I love how it sounds, and could always change it out if I get tired of it. Thanks so much for watching. 🤝💙

Wait did he mean a defouler is what made him stall out or the o2 sensor ?

I believe it was because he was suppose to put the defouler on the headers before installing them. If you install the headers and start the car, and then try to put a defouler on it afterwards it will throw a check engine light and could potentially even cause it to stall out like what happened to Jays car.

What’s going on man, tbh with these cars you’ll hear a lot of random noise every once in a while. I haven’t personally noticed any noises from mine, but I’ll take a look and see if I notice anything the next time I’m in the car. Thanks so much for watching, and showing support 🤝💙

Tbh I’m not completely sure, I know that both gen 1 and gen 2 share similar suspension components, as well as exhaust options too. I’m not fully sure if they share similar axels though…

Yessir, been tuned with them for about 6-7 months now and the car has ran great. I have a few videos on the tune like installing it, and testing out all the features in case you are interested in watching that. 🤝💙

I love how it looks as well, some people have been telling me I should wrap the car a new color. Idk tho, I just love the Neptune blue to much to want to get rid of it.
