Apple vs orange…. both sound awesome, one requires no tweaking and the other lets you choose different presets. I personally own both and it’s great to have one hard left and the other hard right. Great riffs by the way!
Thanks a lot! Yes, that are 2 different approaches. Bogren delivers 1 perfectly balanced tone that can easily fit to most genres, Colins pack has many different tones that can easily be tweaked. Bytheway, the next project of mine is a Colin-Fanboy Project with 3 Tracks. That means guitars from his tonehubpack and drums from the EZDrummer pack. If you like what you heared stay tuned. You´re welcome! Yes, Bogren sounds great out of the Box. There is no need to tweak lot. The Colin Pack is different from that approach. It delivers the tone right after micing the Amp. The work that Bogren already has done must done here. That mean you have to deal with a lot of unwanted frequencies.
Great riffs! Man that's a very tough fight! I really like STL Tones and Colin Richardson, the Made of Metal is probably one of the best packs ever, his work with Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Kreator and Napalm Death are so cool, Bogren is awesome, his mixes lately are some of the best. Very cool video here !
Great comparison! The AmpknoB sounds stupidly good, but you can definetly get more variation out of the CR pack. So it's a matter of what you are after. Both are sick imo :)
Thanks Johan! Yes, I see it the same way. AmpKnob is definitely the most easiest solution for a great sound I know of but very limited. With a pack like the Colins you have a lot more Variation.
