This is my first time seeing this video actually, and i have a few...additions to make. The reason for the glove color differences in the movie was due to the existence of around 10 gloves being made for the film. None of the remake gloves had holes in the leather except for the tips being cut off. The NECA glove is also entirely Alluminum, and has blades that are TIG welded on, where mine is made out of Type L copper pipe, and 1/8th inch Steel blades that have been MIG welded on.
Honestly I would go with you product because they are not cheap made like the NECA gloves and if I got a glove I would want it to be of the same sharpness that I like my buck knives to be but of course I'm not the type to display my knives neither.
Well it boils down to personal preference. I went with the NECA because it was "affordable" and that I could buy a glove and customize it into my own Freddy glove. But the Dark Dream Design's isn't bad either like I said it depends on your own tastes.
Dark Dream’s looks better in my opinion, it looks more authentic and real. The Neca one just doesn’t look like an actual Freddy glove to me, it looks brand new. Freddy’s glove is supposed to be a dirty rusted weapon that was thrown together in a tool shed, and Dark Dream captures that look very well. Excellent video, Spot!
The dark dream design is more movie accurate and looks more authentic however the neca replica is cheaper so its down to how much u are willing to spend on a glove
My question is which one fits better? The NECA one looks pretty big and it looks like it would be loose on someones hand if they wear the glove especially when it comes to the finger parts and the caps it just doesn't look like it has that nice secure tight feel that freddy gloves normally have but the dark dream design looks like it doesn't have that issue so I'm curious?
Great comparison man! Is there any chance you could give me the measurements of the individual parts and pieces of the Dark Dream glove (length and thickness of the individual blades, the width and length of the fingers and their tips etc.) I'm planning on building a custom gauntlet, because from what I've heard and what you said on the video, both the NECA and Dark Dream gauntlets are too large for most people and I have relatively small hands, so there's no way they would be a good fit for me. The reason I need the original measurements is so I can scale em down or up accordingly without having to do much guess work. It's a lot to ask I know, but I figured I'd ask.

For the price Neca wins as always. The Dark dream is good looking and should come with a display stand at least. With the Neca you can mess around with it wear it with a costume and maybe poke out an eye. But the Dark Dream you could cut cheese and maybe a steak with so seems like it would be just for display unless you're hungry.
Why did you gave NECA credit for the palm holes? There are none of the screen used remake gloves have those holes, NECA goofed on that. Dark Dream Design is still the best looking glove, handmade always wins, the templates are great, the copper and blades thickness are accurate, the weathering are all heat not paint, the leather glove style is accurate is suede Keystone, scale is accurate, blade details are great with the bevels, the technique with brazing and welding is accurate, it’s like having a screen used glove without the real prop price. NECA version is okay, they did a good job, price is cheaper but accuracy left out and gave a basic look
I went with the Neca glove for the remake Freddy glove. The DDD one is just too expensive and the Neca remake actually looks better. All other models like the part 1 gloves I always go with handmade armatures like the Razorglove Boiler Room Creation, Furnace Freak, or Numero Uno over the Necas that don't move as well, but look great.
Matt Brown dark dream design glove is a direct replica from the screen used glove so idk what you’re talking about. Dark dream design made his glove the same way the movie did. He welded the blades made that awesome discoloration on the blades, the coloring on copper are all heat when NECA is just blotched paint. He brazed the hinge which is accurate and makes that awesome reddish gold discoloration when NECA just soldering them. The strips on dark dream design is skinnier which is accurate, the scale is smaller than NECA which is accurate. His blades have bevels when NECA don’t. From these comparison i still don’t know why you said NECA is more like Freddy glove than dark dream design

Matt Brown I’m just questioning based on what your score is. Just google, screen used remake gloves, there are bunch of pics of the real glove will show up and you can definitely see dark dream design is closer to screen accurate. I already mentioned a lot of facts such as accurate technique, materials, weathering, templates, scale, all from dark dream design matches the hero remake glove. And the way you said that NECA is more like Freddy glove, i just don’t get what you see because NECA is more pristine like factory made and dark dream design is cruder in every aspect and more “Freddy”.
Matt Brown i know the only reason people defend the NECA glove is because of the price, general glove fans can’t afford $350....me personally can’t buy it, but I’m still going for handmade gloves and not mass produced because Freddy made his own glove. But NECA remake glove is better than NECA part 1 and 3, the price is worth it
Both gloves look amazing, but in different ways. Both are faithful to the movie material, but the reason why DDD wins this comparison is that it looks worn and unprofessionally crafted. Exactly what it's meant to be like. NECA's version seems brand new and screams professionalism, which is the opposite of what the Freddy glove is meant to be. However, DDD's $350 price point is plain ridiculous, to the point where I'd just call them idiotic dicks. NECA's $100 standard price is really decent. I'd go with NECA any day solely because of the price. No need tho cause I made my own glove. 😊
I've heard that from a couple of people now that an alleged cut exists of the movie, definitely would be interested to see what kind of stuff they decided to take out of the film
Snowmation if you changes NECA blades to dark dream design, the blades themselves would cost you $100 because dark dream design blades are thicker, it has bevels and the steel material is better than NECA. So if you put the additional template, hammering on the strips, heat weathering, brazed cuff, it will cost you another $100
Spot, I like the NECA one better, because of the design; but the Dark Dream Design glove is better in metal quality/durability. So the Dark Dream Design glove can be a cool opener for letters and parcels, while the NECA glove can be displayed. XD

it's real leather, authentic materials and templates, Mig Welding, brazing, and weathering by 1 person. the neca is alluminum and faux leather, hence why its only about 60 or 80 when it released
well you're paying for an actual replica, and not a standard, 1 size fits all representation of a glove, also made by one person, and not a huge company.
When it comes to glove you gotta talk about efficiency. The only thing that secure the original glove on your hand is a string and a ball. The remake glove has a metal that LOCKS on your wrist making it more secured. The original glove has ringlets that is soldered which could broke off anytime. The remake has brazed caps tips as a housing for your fingers, that secured your fingers so it won’t go anywhere. Blades on original is brazed and some are soldered so it’s still weak. Remake glove has MIG welded blades so it’s guarantee strength
