I’ve got a 5 channel pioneer amp that’s got a 600 RMS 2 ohm sub channel. I’m thinking this 8 inch sub and their box will be perfect for my Square body suburban. I’m bridging the 4 channels into 2 to run my Focal 6x9’s and use the head unit to power two 6.5’s and 2 3 inch speakers I put in the dash. 6.5’s will be focal and the two small speakers are Memphis audio. Head unit is a simple but good kenwood.

question i was thinking of getting the 3 8"s sdr bass package could i swap out those for the skar Zvx since they come in a subwoofer box already or would the magnet be to big for the prefab box ?

U wouldn’t be able to put the zvx subs in that box. Not bc of the magnet but bc of the basket. The basket of the ZVX 8s are MUCH larger than the sdr. Also the zvx 8s require a larger box than the sdrs too

@@SuperMario91- they sell a trip box that’s got bigger cut outs for it too be universal with subs but I hate there Trip box the 2 ends choke the subs at least on the 12 one the 8 inch is 2.8 cubes in total but the middle hole is has more airspace that each side and says on they website isn’t compatible with the EVL and up might fit still but might not work cause the airspace they call for but the svr 8s are bangers for the price .

Any reason to go with a 8 inch? Cause I'm bout to order 2x 15s lol noob here but I do have a SUV

I’m a bit fresh on the scene too man but if you want tighter and more accurate bass go with 8’s and if you want more boomy and loud bass then 15’s forsure! 15’s can be accurate too depending on the quality of the sub but from what I’ve heard and read about 8’s can be more for sound quality. I personally like 15’s but I usually only listen to rap so I don’t need that super quick response time

@@CaliBiz951 @thomaswalton9089 If you are listen too older rock and country 8s and 10s prolly be best for u but you aren’t going too get the SPL out of them like u would a 12 and up if you want deep thundering bass then 15s and 18s and u want a sub it’ll do it all then 12s they’ll still get low and punchy and accurate but any sub can just depends on the xmax motor force fs etc but isn’t apple too apples comparison.

thats wierd as hell my zvx8 i just bought has the bigger hole size id talk to skar and see if it was a mess up on the production line they could have multiple units like that

@@PShizzzle the zvx just take more power For the other 2 are way better and musical while still handling the power. I’ve rand them all in my truck. And I rand the zvx 15s in my caprice. The Vxf out did them.

Box is way too small you need at least at least 1.00 cubic ft to sound good . But at a 1.25 cubic ft at 36 hz becomes a monster
