In this weeks video we give a comparison and review of both the Pathfinder Stainless steel 64 oz. bush pot, and the new Pathfinder 1100 ML Titanium bush pot. Both are great products, and one has stood up in the field for me over the past 2 years. Nothing wrong with the stainless model, I just personally want to go lighter and smaller. And I have no affiliation with Self Reliance Outfitters or the Pathfinder line of products, just a big fan of both and want to give you a good, honest, and true review of both. So If you have considered adding either one of these to your own gear, come on and lets take an in depth look at each one. Have a great week everyone, and I hope to see you again next time

So far I’ve bought the Pathfinder 1qt Bushpot, stainless steel canteen cook set, stainless steel bottle cook set, PFM-40, M-34, alcohol stove, two grills with waxed canvas pouch and the first gen nesting cup w/ lid. Great values and pretty much bombproof. Anyone out there sitting on the sideline hesitating about getting some of this gear..don’t wait any longer.

Totally agree. Every piece of gear I’ve gotten from them have been great

I gotta tell you I bought the 1qt stainless and you can't beat it period !! It's built like a tank, for a few xtra ounces and cheaper I'm sticking with it !

Can’t fault you for that at all. And I agree, you can’t beat that stainless one. I love the titanium as it fits my needs better, but that stainless was much more versatile. I really miss the little pour spout on my titanium.

Now you got me considering the titanium . I like the embossed graduations inside, they want rub off. The 2 qt. pot is best for boiling a large amount of water in a true survival situation. But like you, it is a bit big for 1 person meals. Good video Sir

One and I love it I would not give it away for nothing it's the best thing you ever come by does stainless steel Pathfinders is perfect

None of the pathfinder's titanium equipment is designed by them. It's all things that are already manufactured elsewhere. They just have it made with their logo. So none of it is bush-tested. The SS is designed and tested by them. Sometimes Dave tests the Ti but other times he doesn't. Either way, Dave isn't a huge fan of Ti because it gets warped in fire. It has other issues. Food does get stuck to it more (if you're frying). The problem with Ti is that it can be great if polished extremely well but that process costs so much money the end product will cost hundreds of dollars.

I love your wall behind you and how you have everything on it just so perfect looks really good thank you for talking about these Bush pots the little one is cool but your first Bush pot for my needs work better cause it's alot bigger God bless you I like this video it was fun

Thank you very much. I tried to make my background look good, but also be functional storage for me. Everything you see back there is useable tools for my different interests. Either bush pot you went for I guarantee you wouldn’t be disappointed. The steel one would be really good for 2-3 people because of its size. After using it a few years it has proven reliable, but I’ve noticed at the most I only fill half of it up, so I think I will be ok with the smaller one. If you do end up buying one, be sure to come show us some pictures over on the crafty crow show Facebook page. I’d love to see it, and I’m sure everyone else would too. Thanks for the comment, and I’m glad you enjoyed the video

Nice review and comparison of the two pots, I two love the pathfinder gear, I have the 8" stainless frying pan it's absolutely the best, along with the nesting cook set, flint and steel and just got the titanium stove yesterday can't wait to use it. Iv been looking into their titanium cook ware want to ask if that stainless pot would nest inside cook set bag or is it to big. Take care thanks.
@TheCraftyCrowShow
@TheCraftyCrowShow Год назад
I’m not sure if the pot would fit inside the cook set bag or not. I know the titanium probably would, but I never had the cook set bag to tell you for sure

Hey! Nice video presentation. The Titanium bush pot is sure pretty and lighter than the ss bush pot, but I’ll stick with the ss pot. Much larger capacity, built like a tank too! Thanks!

Same debate I had between the two. Thought I would see how the titanium worked for a little while, but ended up giving the ss pot to a friend that needed one. No going back now….lol

LOL! Yeah….I may just buy the titanium bush pot just to have it because it’s really cool….if I can get away with it! My gf might take issue with buying more gear you know! When I see new gear I like, I usually buy it! LOL! Thanks!

Very cool! I love the lit lantern in the background on the wall. I like both pots. i don't own either one of those pots. To me, the weight of each one probably wouldn't really matter to me. I don't know. I did enjoy the video very much. Try putting each pot on a scale to get it's actual weight w/lid. Then weigh them with what extras will fit in them.
@TheCraftyCrowShow
@TheCraftyCrowShow Год назад
thanks bud, I thought the lantern would be a nice touch too. I hadnt thought about putting them on the scale, but I will probably weigh my entire pack before my next campout. I may or may not have a video coming out on a new backpack I got next week, so a camping trip has gotta come up soon

@@TheCraftyCrowShow sweet! Yeah i would be curious to see what the weight difference would be. Of course the stainless pot is larger and would be at a disadvantage but still lol. That's the curiosity side of me lol.

@@jeffjackson5331 I’m not totally sure, but I may have weighed the steel pot with all the stuff in it on another video. I know I broke the scale out one time to find the overall weight of my pack, but I don’t remember which video it was 😂

It seems to be a good size for a single person. I was worried it would be too small myself, but I’m pretty happy with it. Maybe they will roll a bigger one out down the road for a multi person option

So I want with all respect to be respectful and i mean it but we should never compromise with great quality for laziness, what do I mean by that is health if you get my drift, I have siatica arthritis and I still plan on carrying my pathfinder bushpot 60oz and I'm going to purchase a 60oz stainless waterbottle to fit in to that. But I have to make sure I can get were I need to GOD willing. And that means I have to lose weight work out and run most importantly run with the gear to let me really know were im really at. And I believe that's realistic state of mind. Sr please dont be offend I like to be real about things and I believe honesty is the best way to go at thing's in all aspects of life.
@TheCraftyCrowShow
@TheCraftyCrowShow Год назад
I am not offended at all, and that was taken as a respectful comment. I do agree, part of being in the outdoors is being physically fit and able to handle what may arise out there. I myself am obviously not in the best shape, and that is my own fault. My point with this however, was the less weight in your gear, the better time you can have. It is a personal goal of mine to get my equipment to the minimum and lightest possible, not only for the ease of carry but the challenge of my skills. I believe as your knowledge of the outdoors grows, your gear will shrink as you don't need as many things as you thought you did to survive. So my goal is not only for ease of carry, but to constantly refine my pack and equipment for the challenge of it. I know I refer to weight reduction in a lot of my videos, but I may not explain very well my other motives for the weight reduction. I also believe like you, and do not think you should sacrifice the quality of items for laziness. I try and test all my gear to see if it meets my expectations, and try to share that with everyone on the channel. That way I can help people with honest reviews before they waste their hard earned money on over hyped garbage.
@ernieschatz3783
@ernieschatz3783 Год назад
Lighter means lighter. It doesn't mean "lazy." I means you can take more gear. No amount of working out will change the weight of your gear.
